@soulsings Every day. I live in the woods so it's pretty easy to get a nature walk in

It's relaxing. It often helps me ground and helps calm me down

@Tinywhisper11 Thank you. Sometimes I forget just how lucky I am to be where I am. It is a lot of work but it keeps me out of trouble and it is very beautiful ❤️

Not very often. I do enjoy it while I'm there, when my mind allows me to. I often feel sore after walks.

@Zeraphim do you have a garden where you live?

@Tinywhisper11 There is a garden under the control of the person I live with, who monopolizes space and needs to have everything her way or she lashes out at me and others. Asking for space to garden would be submitting to her control, and I'd rather not give her more power over me.

@Tinywhisper11 So yes, but effectively no.

@soulsings

Well, living in the country side  in a house that is not weather-tight and having a 10-acre backyard means that nature is always around. However, I go further into the woods regularly in any season because my dog and I need the exercise.

How do we feel after a long walk in nature? Well, relieved to be home again because Shin needs a nap and I tea. I am thirsty then. It is so lucky to have that environment so close. Sometimes, I will have gathered mushrooms or blackberries or juniper (the local peppercorn which is used in sauerkraut for instance).

The Japanese are very fond of forests and the diverse noises there which change with the seasons. They walk in and sit for a while. Sometimes you find a Torii gate in the middle of nowhere, but it indicates that the vibes around there are particularly beneficial.

@Tinywhisper11 haha!😂😂😂😂😂

I don't leave the nursing home grounds. But I'm very lucky we have a huge enclosed garden here, with fruit trees lining the back, gougous flower beds, benches fitted around,  and a seating area at the front. And a huge willow tree in the middle ❤ joshuas tree ❤ I live in a valley between two mountains, so there are so many birds I watch fly past and nest😁 like herons and buzzards, and all sorts of little birdies. I often spot squirrels playing by the trees.  It's a magical garden, and I think that counts as being in nature ❤

I don't take wooded walks by myself to ponder and consider often anymore. I need to get back to doing this!

@4Jasmine I even just enjoy a walk around the neighborhood but nature walks are nice too.

I usually walk at least twice a week since due to the heat I exercise more at home. Walking always makes me feel connected to my environment and clears my head.

@soulsings

Not too often, but I do workout routines in the morning 5-6 times a week, and I would gaze out of the window occasionally during work hours to take a break off the screen. It makes me feel delightful to see all the plants, trees, flowers flourish and grow. How great is mother nature!

@soulsings

This is one of my favourite things to do to become more mindful and relaxed. I am fortunate that I have the woods right next to me and also a nature trail that goes on for miles so I love to get outside in the fresh air and walk! I always feel better after my walk and it helps me in various ways to know that I have become more calmer by walking and I have done something positive for my health and well-being. 🌻

Feeling better starts with a single message. Check out my profile and reviews.

  • How often do you take walks in nature?

Unlike a few years ago, my nature walks have been few and far between, due to work/financial commitments. When finances were not a concern, I used to go hiking 3 times/week. Now, I am only able to afford to go once every few months (if my finances allow). Rent, bills and food now take precedence.

@CaringSub sorry you do not get to go hiking more often. I find some local parks and forests offer me a view of nature that helps me get a flavor of nature.
