Some of the self care and self love activities I had practiced this year include journaling and praying.

Being able to stay put, I think, was the goal. Same goal in 2026.

Buying new socks, undershirts and *** has been part of my self-care/love considering the number of medical staff who see me in half-decent state. Funny to remember that my mother once asked me to iron her underwear for her own medical visits. I did it begrudgingly but at the time, I did not understand how important it was!!

About to get a new laptop is a self-care promise for 2026.

@soulsings

What did you do for practicing self-care and self-love this year?

Lots of skincare. Lots of reading. Quality spending. Learning makeup. Going dancing and traveling. Building myself intellectually. Watching podcasts and consuming quality content. Researching and laying foundation for a gig I'm hoping to start in the coming year.

If you cannot think of examples, what could you work on next year in 2026?

Next, I want to work on reducing my screen time. I want to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. I have to fix my sleep schedule and get my circadian rhythm back on track. Socialise more and make friends. Put myself out there. Live life to the fullest.

I love your prompts. They offer such quality reflection.

I did my usual routine of meditation, exercise and healthy eating but recently I included more craft and art again. Only when I did it again I realized how much joy it brings me so something I will focus on more in the new year.

@soulsings I went through a lot trying to find doctors and get appointments as I was very sick at the beginning of the year. Ever since I went to the emergency room the second time and followed through on the recommendations of other doctors. I was able to finally get the right medicine to help... Knock on wood... Hoping this chronic cough does not come back and so far so good. I started PT and had some surgeries this year also to help with sinuses and with my back pain. I also took my time but found a good therapist just recently that I think is going to work out this time! Because of all the trouble I have been having I decided to keep it straight with a spreadsheet, and all this to say I prioritized my health this year.

Ongoing meditation and therapy. I treat myself monthly to a "spa" type treatment (hair, nails, massage), I got out in nature, and I took a few weekend trips with a friend.

I was doing daily walks but that sort of fell apart and I really need to get back to that.  It's amazing how much that helped me feel better - just being outside, no matter what the weather, even for a few minutes.

@soulsings

I've been a lot gentler to myself and I accept myself as I am rather than wanting to be like someone else. For me this is a big step up from how I used to be to myself. I dont push myself as much

@gentlemelon85 I agree not comparing ourselves with others is a big step.
