To me mountains are very peaceful, wonderful places to get away from all the stress we experience from traffic, crowds or loud noises. They represent strength and stability.

They are a great reminder of how beautiful the world can be amidst all the chaos.
Personally, I love the mountains in Mexico! Every time I travel to Mexico, I see the most beautiful mountains! 💛💫

I am a mountain perSunnnn hehe, love them. Something about mountains is quite a liberating, tranquil feeling, nestled close to nature in a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of life and living. 🥰

The mountains are usually quieter except birdcalls than in the suburbs. No cars. The view is amazing when it is not blocked by trees. It is also cooler on a hot summer day and the atmosphere is just very calming.

Standing on top of a mountain is a unique calm and tranquil experience and can feel very grounding.
@amiablePeace77 There's quite a few things. The wildlife. There are so many different kinds of birds and animals. And in some ways they look out for each other. The squirrels and birds will alert if there's a predator around. Even the weather. It can snow up here but in town it rains. There's no traffic and no people lol

The mountains? When I am around 2-3000 m high I love that there is no sound. The sound of the total quite. Difficult to explain it. It’s the most peaceful thing ever.

The silence of the mountains can be very healing.
Sometimes you got to go through the valleys to get to the mountain tops, but when you get there it's a breath of fresh air.
I have always loved the mountains, I was born in a mountainous State. They signify freedom, peace, and they make me feel closer to God.

Remember when I told you that all I wanted to do with my time off from work was hike in the mountains? Well I never went. I spent my time off doing literally nothing with my time. And that is shameful. I'm a coward for not going and spending my time off hiking like I said I would. I lied to myself and to others. And that is a shameful way to be.

Nick, you seem to be very harsh with yourself and also disappointed. I'm sure you had reasons but don't forget you can always make a new start and do what you always wanted to do, even if it's only part of it.

I feel you are missing my point here. The chance that I'll have 4 months off of work where I don't need to work, where I have the money to not have to work. There won't be another time in my life where I will be single and have 4 months free from responsibility where I could travel worry free. And I had that now, and I wasted it!
I truly enjoy the untouched, natural appearance and energy that comes from mountains. Thanks for posting this wonderful question, @amiablePeace77 . Stay well.
