Well, this is France for you. Oysters, foie gras, white sausages and other delicacies. Champagne is not necessarily expensive. My sister buys it in bulk from the producer.
@amiablePeace77 I do not have any traditions🙁 except I do like to watch the London firework display, but on new years day, when I'm awake😁 and with the volume down cause the bangs are scary😁
But the one tradition I think you all should do is.... Make sure you raise your left leg at midnight, so you can start the new year off on the right foot 😁😁😁

I would not mind a sky show (drones or fireworks). Maybe I'll look it up if I am still awake then 😃

Just doing what’s fun. In the beginning of it it’s honoring the past year that I’m saying goodbye to. After all done with that, doing whatever is needed, yet fun and fitting for me, to celebrate and say hello to the new year. All while staying who I am.
