That must have been painful🫂. Sometimes the best and most caring family is not the biological one but an adopted one panda. 7cups became my adopted family.

@amiablePeace77 Oh it WAS a surprise to me alright. I never in all my life ever over dosed myself. Sure it was accidental due to my poor vision and yet I feel like such a dutz(I could think of another word but not appropriate) I just dont know why I didn’t think to ask someone to read the directions to me or at least call to chat to the pharmacist at my drugstore. Now I got to do more tests make sure I didnt do damage to my kidneys and liver. What makes me feel worse About his is going to ER and being asked if I intended to cause self harm on myself. I know in a hospital they need ask this type of question encase paient did intend to do somethin’ and yet I was like “why are you asking me such a question. I go my adult children and grandchildren to think About and I wanna leave them with the legacy that tells them no matter her tough the road got My children can say their mom never quit. I never wanna leave the legacy that says when things get tough just give up—thats not a holler I ever wanna leave them with.

@Tinywhisper11 Thanks for your kindness. I just feel so dumb making such a mistake as to mess up medication and take more than I should’ have. I realize if it wasn’t for my eyes being in situation they are right now sure I never would have made such an error but I fired a as my mom would say you live to learn. I Don’t Know I just wish I didn’t have the health issues I have and be lucky not to need medication at all but unfortunately I’ve been on medication since I was 6 months old so not having to take medication is not in the cards for me.
@eternalHero77 I’ll get over it tho I’m just nearing myself up on it. But I know with everything in me that it was a sincere honest error and as someone told me that when we get to a certain age things like this so happen to so many. Now it’s my job to let this go and not hang on it continuously bearing myself up.
@amiablePeace77 the biggest surprise🤔🤔 finding out that people here at the care home don't seem to like xmas🙁 they hate it when I wish them a merry Christmas.. It doesn't seem to matter if I greet them from over or under the toilet door 🤷♀️

This one is easy and happened last April.
One minute I was feeling tired but okay in an ambulance and the next thing I knew was that a whole week had passed and I was in an ICU trying to figure out what had happened to me and what language was that nurse using while talking to me?

Well, one good thing about coma is that once you wake up, nothing worse could happen to you, so the scary part is behind as well as all the medical procedures which could have been painful if you were awake. :)
Convalescing from meningitis with coma takes time (6 months to a year, I was told), but I am starting to feel better the past few days. I can do some cleaning and cooking, stay on the phone longer and play ball with my dog in the long bedroom corridor.

What was the biggest surprise for you this year?
1. Surviving, thriving and living through all the negativity that comes to me and that I’m forced to absorb which honestly is why this surprises me every year
2. How much I’ve proudly stood up to my family members for all the mistreatment and suffering they’ve given me over the years
3. How my family always claims to care about me, says I’m smart, etc yet they always hold me back, never let me grow but still blame me everytime they think I’m not doing anything, a It’s literally either over helping me or what they perceive as helpful (being overprotective, too controlling, discouraging me from doing things, etc) or zero help as in no help at all
After living with all this - and this is just a tiny bit of the negativity I’ve been living with for a long time - I told myself “I’ve had more than enough, it’s time to stand up for myself, no one else will no matter what” which in my family seems to be true as no one’s stood up for me. But that’s ok. I’m capable of standing up to them for myself and don’t need anyone else to.

What was the biggest surprise for you this year?
Discovering new hobbies and skills. I read more books this year than I ever have in my life. I learned that I can do my own makeup better that professionals. I got into gardening and adopted 5 green babies. I can revive plants that are dying. I found that I have the ability to write stellar short stories that people can resonate with. I can't wait to add on more to this list in the upcoming year.

I received a lot of surprises this year. Mostly related to love from people. So many new people entered my life - real & virtual . And they just kept adding on and on to replenishing my heart and soul.
Biggest? Im still thinking.... Maybe Ill decide on dec 31. Because there are still some days left for even more possible surprises. 🙂
