Dissociated, parts of our system are coming out that haven't been out for 15 years. Even when that's not happening I'm having trouble being focused and present in 2022.
I'm afraid it could negatively impact therapy, the therapist wants to do EMDR but is willing to try a variety of things and work with me long-term. It's just expensive to see her.
I keep losing blips of memory and I know it's largely because other members of the system are coming out who haven't been.
We're struggling with alcohol use. Some of us see it as a problem, some of us don't. Of course the two are in conflict.
Hi @DichotomousDetia,
Sorry to hear you're dissociated and having so many parts from the past come up while you're struggling to stay focused and in the present, That can be so hard to cope with. I hope things get better soon. I remember what you said about your living situation in the trauma support room, maybe that's contributing to the recent shift in the system.
That's a valid fear, that it might negatively impact therapy. It might, but you are strong and have gotten this far. One day, one step, one breath at a time. It's good to hear that your therapist is so flexible and willing to work with you long term. I can understand therapy costs being expensive for sure.
Sorry to hear you're losing blips of memory to other members of the system, that sounds frustrating.
I can see why alcohol use would be a struggle. I hope you all can come to an understanding and do what's best for the system both short and long term.
Best wishes, WriteToHeal42

How are you doing? <3
Hi @ShapeshiftSystem,
Sorry to hear you're not doing great. With all the stressful, irritating, frustrating, and painful stuff going on, it's understandable why you don't feel great. I hope it resolves soon for you. Glad to hear that you're going to try to get into therapy soon :) I hope you find a therapist who works well with you. <3
I've been doing better lately. Started a new part time job recently, so I'm adjusting to that. Thanks for asking how I am :) <3

Hi, I'm slowly returning to work after these horrible 3months. I recently completed EMDR work on a first trauma - lots of hard work but I felt relieved after it and I guess new meds have kicked in now so although feeling like I need a long rest and holiday after 3months of struggling daily I can say I'm the best I have been since last year.
Wishing calm to all 🌻
Hi @anonyLemon4233,
Good to hear you're having good results after putting in so much hard work, and taking new meds. It can make a world of a difference having both of those. It's understandable that you feel like you need a long rest and holiday after that 3 month ordeal, and I'm glad you're feeling the best you have since last year. Well done on processing your trauma. <3

Not great. I want to make the relationship I'm in work, but it's hard to communicate past codependency and I feel like there's too much tension for stupid reasons. She means so much to me though, and things would otherwise be looking up soon and we could actually be living together...
Hi @Torean,
Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. It's understandable that you're struggling with communication, considering the codependency and tension. I'm glad to hear she means so much to you, so you seem willing to put in the work to try and make it work. I hope things change for the better for you soon.

I can't feel better. I can't open my laptop and download the cracks for my architecture programs license. I can't search for a topic for my MA thesis. My career is really dead and I can't help myself to rescue my career. I don't feel better physically, as I have to reduce my blood glucose to make a cataract surgery on both my eyes, but I don't feel better. It's really hard to be alive.
Hi @DinaElwy,
Sorry to hear you're struggling with feeling better, as well as a dark outlook on life and your career. Sorry to hear about the physical struggles too. Sometimes it feels like life is throwing it worst at us, and it won't get better, but there's still a possibility for a new sunrise. We're here for you. I hope sharing helps some, and that things start to look up for you soon. One day, one step, one breath at a time <3

I started reading a book about trauma called " The Body Keeps The Score". I have found it interesting and also very heavy, it brought up some angry feelings toward a doctor I used to see.
Hi @easyMaple3687,
That's a good book, my therapist recommended it to me as well. It's understandable you found it interesting and heavy, as well as having it stir up angry feelings toward a doctor you used to see. I hope you can find resolution of those feelings and memories.
