Are there any good websites/videos/games/idk, etc, that help with PTSD? Anything that could prove useful? The PTSD is strong and emotionally debilitating lately... Thank you!

@jesusredeemedme2425

 have you ever used any meditation apps?

Insight Timer has a good one for panic

I’ve read “The Body Keeps the Score” it’s really helpful in explaining everything. So sometimes you can be feeling “off” and not realize, it’s the time of year that something happened.

Menstruation…oncoming cold/flu can increase our emotions. The seasons changing.

I also f found this for you. I hope it’s helpful ❤️❤️❤️

If I focus on my body—for example: “I’m feeling nervousness. It’s in my legs.” I just focus on my legs and they eventually relax.

You are going to get through this love. You are s acknowledging feeling off. Deep breaths. Inhale 6, hold 4 , exhale mouth for 8. Do a few rounds and let the last couple out with big sighs., make noise, hum, sing, shake it out!!! You’re safe. That person is not near you. ❤️❤️❤️

I'm sorry I am not aware of any that help with PTSD. . .

While I don't know of any off the top of my head, I'll pray for you and try and see if I can find anything game/videos/websites/ect like that can help.

Hugs and prayers 🩵

@jesusredeemedme2425

 Thought stopping can be helpful too. Try to change your thoughts. If you can’t, try’s phrase ie “ nope not going there” “thanks for trying to help me mind but I’m safe” or literally say STOP out loud and refocus/distract to something else.

@peachThinker662 I do it too. And my bf too. We sometimes even not going there each other when the other is spiraling 😂😂😂 I don't know why but it helps. Brain just goes oh okay if told enough times 😂

Aww I love that you and your boyfriend have that connection with each other…as funny as it is.

The other day I literally yelled it out loud by myself. I was thinking “hmmm if someone just saw that” 😂

@peachThinker662 yeah lol. I even trained him to tell me "no OCD" when I'm having bad OCD bonkers. That tells me he is not ignoring my health panic and is here, but also doesn't entertain my compulsion spiral 😊 he's awesome 😁

@jesusredeemedme2425 I cried in a wot funroom when my grandma was dying from pancreatic cancer and he messaged me with support because he lost his dad to cancer too. Then we supported each other and he helped me get out of a very abusive relationship, saving my life. And then we just somehow stuck together 😊 we love to joke about the 1958?s magazine article about how to get a husband being right because this

Is literally how I got him because I was parked with my tank in the corner of the map and crying my eyes out on the chat to our mutual friend 😂😂😂😂

@jesusredeemedme2425 i dont have any experience in what youre saying...but i know a sort of meditation app thats really calming. Atomus. You get to mess around with pretty colours and shapes with gentle music in the background. Its a good distraction for me :)

*hugs if ok*

@jesusredeemedme2425 uhhh. It depends on what you expect from the thing. Because if you want to distract yourself and get comfy, games are great. Pretty much any game tbh, mobile or pc. I love my mobile games (happy color, Gardenscapes, Legend of the phoenix - for the more calm and cozy ones, but I no longer suffer from PTSD), and my boyfriend has a few strategical games on rotation like terra Invicta (our current favourite), crussader kings 2, kards, wot, the stalker series. My games go for cozy and low stakes to comfort me, his are high engagement and focus to distract him.

If you aim for games or websites or stuff that is directly addressing the PTSD and helps to recover rather than give you distraction and comfort, that's a bit harder to say. I found following licenced therapists on social media or YouTube very helpful, especially HealthyGamerGG on YouTube (although some of his opinions are based on eastern religions that do not align with our faith belief system, but you can totally filter the spiritual from the practical, and he does a great job on explaining mental health conditions as a trained psychiatrist, i think he also had something on ptsd but not sure, I know he has a lot of content on trauma tho)

On the gram, I follow

thisisyolandarenteria - usually about childhoods effect on our present life, is a great source for these, but unfollowed when she started to get political

thesecurerelationship - deep dive into attachments, communication and relationships

drjulie - simple visual explanations of mental health things

gabormatemd - he's old, has a lot of life experience and talks about a mix of things from psychosomatic stuff to childhood patterns or relationships

Don't know if any of these is relevant to you, as they don't really talk a lot about PTSD, but they are just people I follow and found helpful when dealing with my own trauma, so just throwing this out there since we had a similar cause and you can decide what's relevant for you. I hope at least something out of this helps ❤️

I really hope that you can get the upper hand on this soon. Remind me, what games do you have access to? Just online ones?

@jesusredeemedme2425

I'm sorry this is bothering you.  I have been really busy and not online much in the past several weeks, but saw this and I think this might be of interest for you:

Have you tried any guided meditations?  I have no idea if they would help with PTSD, but I was recently introduced to Progressive Muscle Relaxation which you can get on on YouTube from Johns Hopkins Rheumatology (among other places).  It is 5 minutes and I think it might be helpful for you in general to help you relax.

There are tons of other meditations out there you might try as well.  Hugs!  Please take care!
