🌸✨ hi sweet newbies, welcome to 7 cups ✨🌸

i’m lex 💗 a listener here on 7 cups, and i’m really glad you found your way here.
7 cups is a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk about anything — the heavy stuff, the confusing stuff, or even just everyday life. you can chat one-on-one with listeners, explore forums, or just quietly exist here until you’re ready. there’s no right or wrong way to be here 🌱🤍

🎆🌙 a new year is almost here 🌙🎆

with a new year approaching, a lot of feelings can come up — hope, pressure, excitement, fear, or even nothing at all. all of it is valid ✨
you don’t need to have goals figured out, a “fresh start” planned, or anything magically changed by january 1st. sometimes just making it through is enough 💞

🕯️🤍 a gentle reminder about the holidays 🤍🕯️

the holidays can be really hard for some people — lonely, overwhelming, painful, or complicated. if this season feels heavy for you, you’re not broken and you’re not alone.
support is always available here, whether that’s through the community, other listeners, or me. i’m always happy to listen if you need a safe space to talk 🫶✨

🎉💬 let’s make this interactive 💬🎉

if you feel comfortable, answer one of these below ⬇️

🌙 what’s something you’re proud of surviving this year?
🍃 what’s one thing you want to leave behind as the new year approaches?
🕯️ what’s a small way you take care of yourself when things feel heavy?

💌🤍 gentle closing 🤍💌

thank you for being here and for showing up exactly as you are. you don’t have to go through things alone.
i’m always available if you need a chat, a listening ear, or a safe place to land — i’m only ever a message away 💕✨

much love,

lex 🤎

I had a difficult year, alot of death and grief!

I want 2026 to be more family orientated and less chaotic.

I'm proud, I never gave up and retained my same spirit throughout 😊💚

@Amanda84. See, this right here is why you are so loved and admired!! I don’t think anyone ever had a clue that you were going through such difficult, and most likely very traumatic, times this past year or so.

You made me, and probably everyone else you helped with your words, like WE were the ones that mattered. When all along you could have used our assistance and kindness!

I’m proud of you, just as you should be proud of hou, and please keep your spirit. You matter to so many!

great reflection prompts!

🕯️ what’s a small way you take care of yourself when things feel heavy?
reminding myself that I truly am doing the best I can and to trust the universe, in that things ultimately always go okay. it may take time, more time than we feel we have, but something always happens to balance the universe.

aww, this is such a gentle and grounding way to take care of yourself 🤍✨ reminding yourself that you’re truly doing the best you can is so important, especially when things feel heavy. I really love the trust you place in the universe too that belief that even if it takes time, things eventually find their balance 🌿💫

there’s something really comforting about knowing you don’t have to have it all figured out right now. thank you for sharing this it’s a beautiful reminder for anyone reading 💚

What's one thing you want to leave behind as the new year approaches?

I'm leaving my job at the end of this year, it has been the main cause of my anxiety and panic attacks. I want to start the new year off looking forward and leave everything behind. What's in store for me?, I haven't a clue but hope to take each day better than any day from this year.

As for the holidays coming up, even though family will be around. I tend to stand back and be the quiet one off to the side. I'm not much for big gatherings.

@QuietByNature

thank you so much for sharing this 🤍✨ leaving a job that’s been such a big source of anxiety and panic takes realcourage. choosing your mental health and peace is never the wrong decision, even when the future feels uncertain 🌱💫 taking the new year one day at a time sounds like such a gentle and powerful intention.

and you’re not alone in feeling quieter during the holidays 🫶 big gatherings can be a lot, and it’s okay to step back and protect your energy. being present in your own way is still enough.

i’m really proud of you for honoring what you need and allowing yourself to let go. here’s to a new year that feels lighter, calmer, and more hopeful whatever it brings 🤍✨

hello and welcome 🤍✨

thank you so much for sharing your story. losing a job can feel really heavy and uncertain, but the fact that you’re still choosing to read, study, learn, and grow says so much about your resilience 🌱💫 turning a hard moment into an opportunity for growth isn’t easy, and you’re doing it anyway.

it’s so lovely that you’re here on 7 Cups with such a kind intention—to help others and make the world a little better 🫶✨ those “little hands” you mentioned already matter more than you know. healing and support ripple outward.

we’re really glad you’re here, especially during those late-night hours 🌙🤍 i hope this space brings you connection, purpose, and hope as you move forward. welcome to the community 💚

It can be a very hard time of year for a lot of people, for a lot of different reasons. Last year, things were so bad with family that I told everyone with the way things were between us, it was better that I just forego all holiday festivities. I ended up going anyways, but I kept to myself. This year, magically, my siblings have all decided to behave quite rationally, and now I'm actually looking forward to a nice holiday with my family. No matter how it goes, I have the next day to look forward to with just my SO and my son. :)

I didn't answer one of your prompts! Sorry!

what’s something you’re proud of surviving this year?

I did 12 sessions of at-home ketamine therapy for my treatment resistant depression. My depression was ridiculous and had been for many years, I was at the end of my rope, and I had nothing to lose. With the supervision of 3 doctors, a pharmacist, and 2 therapists, I dosed myself at home, in my own bed. It was one of the scariest things I had ever done, it was incredibly hard (I have never tasted anything so awful in my life), but it completely changed my life. It saved my life. I survived. Now I'm thriving. 💙

BTW, in the USA, this is a completely legal treatment. Nothing here was illicit. :)

@TovaCares76

thank you so much for sharing this, truly 🤍✨

first, how beautiful that this year feels softer with your family. it says so much about your strength that even after how hard last year was, you still showed up in the ways you could 🫶 and knowing you have that peaceful day ahead with your SO and your son no matter what? that’s such a grounding, comforting thing 🌱💫

and… wow. what you shared about your ketamine therapy is incredibly powerful 💙 the courage it takes to try something so unknown when you’re at the end of your rope is immense. i’m really moved by how honestly you named the fear, the difficulty, and the trust you placed in your care team and in yourself. the fact that it saved your life and helped you move from surviving to thriving is nothing short of amazing.

i’m so glad you’re still here. so proud of you for surviving, for fighting for yourself, and for sharing your story it brings hope to more people than you’ll ever know ✨💙

What’s something you’re proud of surviving this year?

I'm proud of surviving my seizures. I was quite recently diagnosed with Epilepsy, and I'm proud of surviving all the medication changes and everything else that came with it.

What’s one thing you want to leave behind as the new year approaches?

I want to leave all of my resentment behind as the new year approaches. Resentment towards family, friends, myself, and everything else. I want to start fresh with myself and the people I love.

What’s a small way you take care of yourself when things feel heavy?

I take a shower, get in my coziest pajamas, and read a book.

thank you so much for sharing this 🤍✨

being newly diagnosed with epilepsy and navigating seizures and medication changes is a huge thing to survive and you did it 🫶 that takes so much strength, patience, and resilience. you have every reason to be proud of yourself.

wanting to leave resentment behind feels really powerful too 🌱✨ choosing a fresh start with yourself especially is such a loving intention. that kind of release isn’t easy, but even wanting it is a meaningful step toward peace.

and your self-care ritual sounds so comforting 🛁📖🤍 showers, cozy pajamas, and a good book are such a gentle way to tell yourself “i’m safe right now.” thank you for sharing something so real and grounding it’s a reminder we all need.

I survived a year leaving a job I loved and did for 7 years to another that was extremely toxic and absolutely not what I expected.

I prayed and God blessed me with a much better opportunity that has fulfilled all of my needs specially a much better work-life balance.

One thing I’m leaving behind is quickly reacting to life’s issues. I want to become a more controlled person.

I have been praying for God to give me strength and exercise which makes me feel strong 💪

@gurnickwellness

eaving a job you loved after 7 years and then walking into something toxic is such a hard thing to survive it can really shake your confidence and sense of stability. the fact that you held on, prayed, and trusted the process, and then found an opportunity that truly meets your needs (especially with a healthier work-life balance) is really beautiful 🌱💫

i love your intention to leave behind reacting too quickly to life’s challenges. that kind of self-awareness is powerful, and it shows how much growth you’ve already done. choosing control, patience, and strength both spiritually and physically is such a meaningful way to step into the new year 🙏💪

you’ve clearly been through a lot, and it’s inspiring to see how you’ve come out stronger, more grounded, and hopeful. thank you for sharing your journey it’s a reminder that better chapters really do come 🤍✨
