Hoping this is a good idea
Hi everyone. I'm a little nervous to be joining here because I'm *prepares for hate* Israeli and Jewish. Originally not from Israel, but I live there now.
Kinda just needing a place where I can share what's going on and not feel like I have to pretend that I'm okay which is exactly what I do every single moment I'm interacting with anyone. Besides my cats obviously. You can't lie to a cat (I've tried but then they still know when to vanish before the vet).
Not sure what I'm supposed to say because I've already forgotten where I saw the intro ideas list, so shall I say that I am an introverted mess of ADHD (inattentive), chronic depression and anxiety, and a cat person. Oh, and I love reading, hiking and learning new things. I'm still figuring how how to know when someone feels interrogated by my genuine curiosity! Otherwise, mid-twenties (ugh), female (double ugh), and in academia (triple ugh).

I am a female and a cat person too! I believe there is controversy surrounding Israel that isn't going to be a good idea to discuss here on this app/website but I wanna let you know that whatever is going on is something you have no control over. Being a part of any country does not mean you partook in whatever is going on. We are individuals and we will be judged individually. Being in the same race as bad actos does not mean you have done the same deeds as them, this applies to all races and nationalities.

That's got to be the most convulated way in which I've been told that it's fine my actual existence is controversial 😂 just to clarify, I specifically introduced myself this way because I'd rather know immediately on a platform like this whether it's safe for me to be here. Israeli and Jewish are not polticial labels, they're identities (and not synonyms). Thanks though :)
don’t worry i’m a christian-leaning straight white male conservative in the UK, so also a demographic who gets a lot of hate by a lot of the world and seemingly isn’t allowed to complain or feel victimised - i just try to interpret things in a way that makes me stronger - like, if someone’s full of hate, they can’t be very happy… so i’m simply not gonna let their unhappiness affect me 👍🏻
