If you could sit down with one person and say sorry? Would you take that opportunity?

@Amanda84 I would like to apologise to my younger self. I was too hard on her. It was never her fault.

Hi Amanda! 😊 ❤️

Thank you for your incredibly thought provoking forum post! This question that you posed, could give many a great deal to think about and to consider!

To answer your question, for me, yes. If there were to be anyone that I should apologize to, I would want to do so and quickly! I don't have anyone in mind that I would need to do that for as of this writing.

If I have something kind to say to someone, I like to do that as tomorrow is promised to none of us. Same for extending an apology. While I wouldn't hurt someone intentionally, if I have done so inadvertently, I would be most quick to give a heart felt apology. ❤️

Being able to admit faults and apologize to others says a great deal about ones character. The inability to do so says a great deal as well. With relationships comes adversity and even the best of relationships require work. Sometimes a heartfelt apology is needed. Things can happen in any type of "ship" and it's how you deal with the misunderstandings that arise that can tell a great deal about if the "ship" will be sustainable. Sometimes the relationship can become even stronger, trust deepened when things are handled the right way.

Just sayin', there is much to be said about being able to receive the apology. If you care about the person that is apologizing, no need to drive them into the ground over it. This shows a great deal about ones character as well. If you truly accept the apology, it can be good to know if it is really acceptable or not as to not bring it up again.

Sometimes others will apologize to us, but in not in a heartfelt way. The bad behavior has been repeated over and over and sometimes it will make us consider whether they are truly sorry for what it is that they are doing. In that situation, I feel like it's okay to accept the apology/or not. It's okay to forgive others and also to simply move along. One can forgive another and also not want to continue interacting with them as to keep ones self out of harms way. It can also be good for the soul to forgive others even if they never asked for the forgiveness. Carrying hatred in ones heart, only hurts ourselves.

Again, thank you Amanda for such an amazing forum post. If anyone's heart may be heavy out there, it's okay to apologize, to at least make the attempt. It can be quite healing. ❤️

*high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️

I would sit down with myself in my darkest of days when everything seemed impossible and I would tell myself, you did smile again, you did get out of bed, you did love again, you do have good days, you did get through it, there is always a way through, you just have to see it and always hold onto hope 🥰💜

@Amanda84

I'd say sorry to myself. I've been harsh on myself. I've hated myself. I did not respect myself. I know myself deserves all the love and appreciation, but haven't come to forgive me for what I've done to myself. It's a long process and there are ups and downs. I'm in the low rightnow,  but I hope I'd change for the better and treat my the right way

Yes,

I would sit down next to one of my exes and tell her I'm sorry for leaving you at that party not knowing you wanted me to stay. I would probably still be with her till this day if I had. This was over 10 years ago. 😔💔❤️❤️ But I met a great woman since then she knows I still regret that tho.

@assistedcrazyperson I am glad you met someone great now 🥰 but I love when.prolle tske accountability and say sorry and own their mistakes. This enables closure and doesn't bring hurt into other relationships, so many people today whether it's in friendships or relationships ghost or gaslight people, without taking their emotions into consideration and just carry on with their lives, whereas the other person can be affected by this for a long time.

I feel like i always was the one apologizing to everyone in my life even when i wasn't the guilty one just because i wasn't ready to lose the bond with the people who surrounded me but now i just feel like i lost myself because of that so i don't think i want to say sorry to anyone anymore not really unless this person is worth it

@braveLime316 I hear you do much right now, you know you are not in the wrong and yet you apologise, compromise and give in because any company is better than none, but I have learnt that infact the wrong company will only make you lonelier. I hope that today you are surrounded by people that see your worth and you never say sorry again, unless of course you need to 😁🥰
