@emotionalPond99
Here’s the new friend post I promised you! What do you think? <3
Its so sweet thank you for making one!
@emotionalPond99
Thank you for the inspiration! Why don't you grab some warm and comforting coffee, come to one of the long, rustic tables, and tell us about you? <3
Well i enjoy reading, dancing, and watching tv. I have a dog and she's the cutest. I really enjoy fashion too and love designing clothes and sewing. How about you?
What do you like reading? I read a lot about the Holocaust, and a lot of kids’ and YA fiction.
What kind of dog is she? <3
I used to do swing dancing, but it’s been years and I wasn’t that skilled at it hehe
I’m so bad at sewing, I beg my mom to do my mending for me :P
Also don’t forgot your coffee shop fave <3
I have celiac and ibs so unfortunately I cant have any food that's not homemade 😭
Well then, what are your fave homemade food and drinks? <3
I really like matcha and gf brownies
I read that as “girlfriend brownies” XD And then I realized what it meant lollll
😂 sorryy
I like fantasy and dark romance, and she is a medium sized pit. She's such a cuddle bug. That's awesome!
Have you ever read Uglies?
Awwww! Pitties get such a bad rap but they are the SWEETEST doggies <3
@emotionalPond99 hi pond 💖 nice to meet you, I'm Lola. You design clothes that's so cool 💗
Hi, its nice to meet you to! And thank you!
I’m Kiara! I’m in my 30s, and I love reading (especially kids’ books and fiction), drawing (I love watercolor pens!), hiking, arcades, video games, Christian rock/metal, and loving others <3 I’m a tomboy, so I’m not into the super girly stuff (although I do love horses!). I love going to book sales at libraries and getting a HUGE bag of books for $5 <3
My coffee shop fave: I can’t drink coffee (my body isn’t a fan of caffeine), but I love croissants, bagels with TONS of cream cheese, tuna salad sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, and more. Starbucks has really good sandwiches and yogurt parfaits too <3
I’m in my 30s too!
I love watercolor pens too, but I use them to color.
I like Christian music too, but not necessarily rock and definitely not metal LOL.
I use those super fine-tipped pens to do outlines, then watercolor pens to do shading and coloring <3
What are your fave Christian songs? <3
A Thousand Hallelujahs by Brooke Ligertwood
Better Yet by Leanna Crawford
Lots of others
I’m autistic too! I have Asperger’s. What kind of autism do you have?
What kind of video games do you like? I love the ones from the 90s/00s <3
This is a safe space where you don’t have to be worried about how to talk to people <3 Just start talking! Find common interests and ask about them :)
Well that's curious, cause I also have Asperger!
I'm mostly into 90s videogames, even though there are some form the 80s and 2000s that I really enjoy. My two favorite franchises being MegaMan and Castlevania.
I'm also getting into old anime as well, especially Mecha shows because I'm very immature XD
Oh, and I like just plain coffee with sugar. For some reason, drinking coffee always helps me relax.
Have you also had hyperfocused interests like I’ve had, throughout my life? I’ve hyperfocused on animals, writing, the Holocaust, drawing, psychology, mental/developmental disorders, and 7Cups! (Probably others as well.)
I liked Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart, Croc, Crash Bandicoot, and more :)
Hey, not immature lol! I primarily watch kids movies. Maybe it’s an autism thing? Hehe
I used to drink little cups of coffee with TONS of sugar and milk. Like, it was a very small amount of coffee compared to the rest of it hehe
@AxlMega hi axl💖 the great thing about this site is you can be free to be your true self💖 though I know if can be hard at first to find your voice. Gives you a giant tiny hug 💗
I’m autistic too

I'm cyanessence! I'm in my 30s, male, and honestly... finding myself. I can't decide whether I like tea or coffee more. I never know what to order at a Cafe, it all looks so delicious. I used to be right into gaming but now I can't seem to focus on them for long. I have books to read but I want to read them all so I read none.
It seems my only drive now is to connect with people and understand them. It's a singular focus, I think it's a hyperfocus because of my ADHD.
I recovered from depression about 2 months ago, and since then it's been a journey of self-actualisation. I will find myself in the end, I think that's inevitable.
Looking forward to learning about everyone!
Hey all the people!
I'm Torean. I'm in my 30's, and I'll probably just have a coffee at the cafe, maybe an Americano. I drink it black. I wasn't always that way, but I got tired of trolling the cafeteria at my last job for Mini Moos when I ran out.
Anyway, I'm a big gamer, and glad to see other fellow gamers responding! I mostly play RPG's and Survival Horror. Assassin's Creed too.
You probably noticed Nessa in my picture (named after the Earthbound Ness). She's one of my guinea pigs, and she loves to munch on hay and watch YouTube with me. Her favorite is watching Strong Bad Emails. When she's not eating, she's being the brave leader of the guinea pack, and they busted whatever ghost was haunting the room their cage is in. Really quickly too. So, I love what they've done with the place. Oh, and I have a dog too, who is very accomplished at parkour, and can jump 6 ft fences without hesitation.
Hm, what else... I spend a lot of time learning different languages and checking out music I've never heard before. I write lots of stories and poetry, and my writing is usually dark and/or weird... Hopefully funny and inspiring too.
As for movies and books, I love horror best. For books, I'm really into fantasy and sci-fi too. That's all for now, this response is getting long.
@torean Which languages are you learning? I've been working on Spanish for quite a while so I might be able to travel abroad in the future. I also spoke a little Japanese in the past. I love Duolingo for learning. How do you study?
Nice! I've been using Duolingo too. I finished the Spanish and Italian courses. Spanish took years for me, Italian didn't have near as much available though. I'm also working on Polish and Japanese, and in case you haven't started the Japanese course, I think it's paced really well. The Polish one... Not so much. I have a laundry list of complaints there. But I sometimes get called on at my job to help people who only speak Spanish, and I'm generally able to get through it without too much confusion thanks mostly to Duolingo. At this point, I'm mostly trying to explore languages and sharpen my abilities to learn them
Wow! That is a lot of languages, and great you are able to use it at work! I really struggle to use the language in practice maybe since I am very introverted.
I would like to relearn Japanese, but right now it's too much of a time commitment. I have only been finishing one lesson per day lately, and multiple languages gets confusing. One is enough for me. I have dabbled in music on Duo as well so I may be able to speak my daughter's language. She plays cello.
It's a struggle for anyone, introverted or not. I will definitely say that I regretted starting Italian right after Spanish, it's easy to confuse them. So, definitely go at the pace that seems right for you.
As for the music, that sounds really cool, do you want to learn to play an instrument too?
@Torean
Kiara recommended you! And I see why. You're very cool!
I'm making my way through Black Flag still, it's been so much fun. I'm not very good, often resorting to brute force to achieve my goals. I'm curious what it will all mean in the end. It seems very deep!
My humour can also be quite dark, and random at times. It's why I don't try very hard to be funny as it often misses the mark. My favourite kind of joke recently has been the truly absurd, completely devoid of meaning. For I believe everything means something so when I encounter something lacking it it cracks me up.
You write well, I heard you do poetry? I've recently fallen in love with it. I'll keep an eye out for you friend!
Nice, thanks, you seem really cool too!
Heck yeah, Black Flag is my favorite of the series. I remember feeling much the same when I was playing it, and I can definitely say that it doesn't disappoint in the end.
My humor is honestly kinda the same way. Absurdity is what cracks me up the most too. I think you explain why better than I could. As a consequence, I find a lot more humor in things the older I get. 😂 I've already been told that I laugh in my sleep, so we'll see how far that goes.
Aw, thanks! 😁 Are you taking up writing poetry, or reading it? I haven't posted much of my stuff here. Mine are more like .. I dunno, grunge rock lyrics I guess? I feel like either the language gets too strong, the subject matter gets too dark, or I just feel weird about posting it on a personal level. I know I've posted a few, but I have no idea where they exist on the poetry threads now.
Anyhow, its really good meeting you too, I'd be glad to call you a friend, and I'll keep an eye out for you as well!
@Torean
I will get back into the Flag. Keen to learn how it all ends.
Well hello fellow absurdist! Made me smile lol, makes me feel less alone. I do like puns too, but they have to be spicy. You laugh in your sleep? That's kind of beautiful, like your soul is just delighted.
I feel it is the duty of the poet to read and interpret the work of the other. It's a great way to develop your own style anyway. So I try my best to draw meaning, but often I only have simple observations that circle around themes I'm interested in. In a way, it feels like they're all talking about the same thing. Everything seems deeply interconnected.
You don't need to post your poetry in order for it to be meaningful. Just writing it is a form of reflection where you learn about the self. I go to a place of poets almost devoid of comment and recognition and the people keep posting. Art doesn't need to be seen or appreciated to have an impact.
Grunge lyric poetry sounds amazing though, if I see your works I'm happy, if they remain personal I'm just happy you're expressing yourself!
Indeed friend, good talking. It's how we learn.
Have fun with it! To be honest, I wanna revisit that one at some point. Gotta try out AC Shadows sometime soon too I think. I know I'm gonna like that one.
Lol, spicy puns eh? Gotta love those. I'm not sure if my soul is delighted, but I have a way of finding humor most of the time. I talk in my sleep too. That's gotten even more random.
I like the way that you put what you said about poetry. Makes a lot of sense, even if I'm reading my own theme into just what you said. I feel like my style organically changes all the time, but reading stuff other people have written always surprises me. I'll find lots of good things here and there that I'd never thought of.
That's true, but I always wonder when I should share what I've done. I'll think about posting something, because I have a lot. Heh, I'll tag you if I find something edgy that seems shareable. I wrote two out of nowhere the other day, so I'll see if they seem to have anything to offer.
Indeed, and much agreed!
@jesusredeemedme2425 interesting
@jesusredeemedme2425 I love tea and chocolate eclairs 😁 My biggest passion is football. I do love reading, my favourite author at the minute is Sally Rooney 💜🥰
@Amanda84
Football hey? That's pretty cool. What kind?
@cyanessence im a football nut, watch it all 😁 I'm a massive Leeds United fan 💙💛
@Amanda84
Oh so soccer? My favourite kind of football. I love its simplicity and the spirit of healthy competition.
Here we have AFL. I don't mind it, but the shape of the ball bothers me for some reason haha.
@cyanessence Irish people would never say soccer 😁⚽
@Amanda84
Forgive my ignorance lol ~*^_^*~ football it is.
@cyanessence Your ignorance is completely forgiven 🤣💜
