What's your front wall of defence like?
We all build walls around ourselves but the front one is the first thing the world sees. Some build theirs towering and solid, while other decorate it in different aesthetics.
What does your front wall say about you? And how does it shape the way others see you before they know anything else?

I'd have to say it looks something like, "leave me alone, I really don't want to talk to anyone.
I never open up to people first, too guarded, socially awkward, shy and introverted
I'm a bit wary and a lot cautious but it can be mood dependant too. I just focus on the words and behaviours and inconsistencies.
I'm a tester through and through so share something small and see how it unfolds, it's very useful because people give themselves away and the true nature comes out.
To others I'm most probably closed off because I'm not a talker/sharer until time passes and then more glimpses shine through but you have to be really patient..
@ScrabbleBrain That kind of patience shows that someone is willing to give us the space to bloom 💗
@BlueDarkAurora Absolutely, when I hear "trust me" and "what have you got to hide?" after a short period of knowing them, I run for the hills.
But if someone says, Hey, take your time, there's no rush, just because I'm an open book, doesn't mean you have to be too....
That's more promising.
@ScrabbleBrain so true 💗 I hope you always come across people who take the time to understand you ^-^
I did this just yesterday and it filtered into this morning. I just shut down all communication, I wanted to be alone and away from people. I didn't want to engage with anyone or pretend everything was okay, but equally I wasn't ready to talk about what I was feeling.
This morning my partner asked me why he was only just finding out that I struggled yesterday, I just said "I'm okay" and he said, "okay I know when not to push it but I'm right here okay, I'm always just right here and you're safe".
Then I felt safe enough to talk.
Literally no one cares or asks about me like this. So idk how to answer this
@limegreenSugar9416 That's alright :) Some things we learn to do for ourselves. That's the same reason I keep a journal where I ask myself questions that make me think. It's all about understanding myself.
Maybe you can start gently asking yourself questions that matter, to get to know yourself better 💗
The outside probably looks friendly. Neutral colors. Approachable. Big words written that say I'm fine, nothing to see here. The wall itself is probably a couple feet thick though 😅
@mytwistedsoul The outside looks friendly because it radiates the kindness of your heart 💕 A heart like that definitely needs to be protected but I hope there's a drawbridge for when you want someone to see you :)
@mytwistedsoul thick walls can allow mousies to have an entire empire inside, filling them with life 😊
@sadcat13 😊 I like that! A mousie empire! 💜
@mytwistedsoul yessss 😊

@sadcat13 😳 a crown! I need one of those 🤭
@mytwistedsoul here you go 👑😁
@sadcat13 Thank you! 😊
@BlueDarkAurora
You’d have to consult the wall as it was erected without planning permission. 🤷🏻♀️
what does your portray?
@BlueDarkAurora I imagine it has a door like the on in The Wizard of Oz's Emerald Palace: a big door (pink, not green) with a face-sized hole up high (it has the little slidey door too, so if I need to be done interacting I can).
I also imagine the walls next to it would be big, black, and metal with lots of sharp spikes and cutesy charms all over: sort of like if Hello Kitty opened a shop in the Mad Max universe.
@BlueDarkAurora I'm an interesting case of starting without a wall. Then closer is a tiny curb, a fence etc, until it grows in a full blown wall of mordor. The closer people get to me, the more stressed and guarded I am, and the harder it comes to open up to them. So it is literally going from a peaceful no wall meadow to the darkest nope.
@sadcat13 haha ^^ it all starts getting too real when someone gets a bit too close. I think there's so much at stake when the distance is so small. It's understandable to feel this kind of stress 💗
