I got "officially" engaged, though we'd been engaged since like 2019. But I finally got a ring and told my family which was the most painful experience for no real reason. I feel like I should be a lot happier about it, but it's mostly either adding to my stress or being ignored.
I also almost doubled my work hours that I'd had since the pandemic hit -- from like 12 a week to 20-some a week.
I narrowly avoided getting COVID when I saw family who were mostly vaccinated yet probably some of the kids brought it in and a lot of the family tested positive but I was out of there early enough to avoid it.
I got vaccinated and boosted which is the only thing letting me not totally panic every time I go to work face to face.
I got a dental cavity filled that started growing 5 years ago when my dental hygiene was at its worst. I was nervous about finally needing a root canal on and it had actually had some sensitivity, but it turned out that just a big filling was all it seems to need to be taken care of, and now my dental hygiene is on point so I shouldn't need to worry much about it anymore.
I went to a going away party for my boss with my coworkers. Nearly the only social event I have gone to in years and one of very few things I've done during the pandemic only since it was an outdoor event.
I went on a trip to see birds and the university campus I'd got my Masters from last year after studying all online.
So I know half my good things are interspersed with anxieties but it's been nice to list them out!

Proper loved reading your thoughst <3 Congrats 'officially' on yory engagement. God bless and protect you both, guiding you as a family together through happy and fulfilling days on your paths. The dentist bit made me cringe, I can't do dentists, I should never have watched The Marathon Runner!
The Birds <3 I adore beyond he realms of human adoration, Birds! I wanna be a Bird, make me a Bird God please, I'm waiting, quick please, I'm getting into a flap here mate!
Anxieties, life is full of them, Breathe, abodominally, relax your muscles and review cognitive distortions, you might pinpoint the very causes of your anxieties. Fear! Its always only Fear dear.

A lot has happened in 2021, not all of it good. But...the two highlights of my year have been the fact that I've been able to spend more time with my niece building a better relationship AND actually having taken a 2 week vacation to go back "home" to visit several of my oldest and dearest friends (first vacation in 12+ years).

That's awesome! It's always such a good feeling to reconnect and build your bonds with the people you love. It'll make you feel stronger with their support, and they appreciate you being in their lives.

😮 I didn’t say all that was good that happened this year..
1. I graduated high school despite me completely believing I was not gonna graduate
2. I went to prom and I partied with my friends 😮 (I don’t really party)
3. Throughout my 4 nearly 5 months on cups, I have found many ways to cope with all the bs in my life 😀
4. I am not in such a dark place as I was at the start of last year (2021)
5. I am slowly healing 😮
6. I have some of the most incredible friends on cups, but if I tagged them all, it’d be a tag spam, so I am not gonna tag anyone, my friends know who they are 🌝🐨
7. I am coping way better than I did at the start of last year (2021)
8. I am finding hope again 😮

My gratitude for life, loved ones and the seemingly "little" things deepened. 2021 has been a year filled with lots of downs, but then again, one that really affirmed the power of *hope* for me, and I'd like to really hold onto these feelings of gratitude and hope always! ❤✨

My dad survived blood clots in his leg and lungs, pneumonia, and flu within theses last two weeks. I have a job, a roof over my head, my sister and pets.
This year was tough but I finally found a place of my own in Nov (newly divorced). It was tough for me due to my fur baby- there was no way I was going to let go of her. I also was able to take a pilot class which was something on my bucket list.
I got my wisdom teeth removed at once😊
