Others only understand from their own perspective. It doesn't mean yours is wrong.

i actually hate a fellow listener here.

before i come back here in 7cups, i remind myself to be just a steady and nice listener and will not make friends.

he was the one to encourage me to have friends here, and suddenly he said goodbye without saying any reason.

i see his username in chatrooms everyday and i just feel sad and mad everytime.

i honestly want to be friends with him again.

he helps me out everytime i get upset after listening.

he makes me feel better about myself.

hahahahahahahahahaha. damn.

To be honest, I don't really agree with the 'be who you are and ignore those who don't like it' message. Sometimes, those who matter will mind because they care for you. And sometimes the people who will accept you are not the best friends for you. When you're in a bad spot in life, the ones you need are those who can see that and want to get you out of your rut, not the people encouraging you to stay in it. After all, we don't always know what's best for ourselves.

It's why we're afraid to say certain things to people who we care about, because their approval and support really does matter. Nobody is perfect as they are, and we all have flaws. Rather than defending our flaws and perpetuating them, we can work to improve ourselves constantly and be humble. Even the worst and strangest criticisms can be turned around if we try evaluating it, consider its merits, and learn from it (or throw it away if it's complete rubbish).

Of course, we should not have to pretend to be someone we are not, but I think we shouldn't stay who we are either. We ought to work to become the person we want to be.

Aaaand these are some of my thoughts haha. What do you guys think?

This is mostly true since everyone cannot be pleased but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinion so of you don't believe in my opinion then it's okay

people who mind don't define how you should act/respond/think/feel so they don't matter. and those you matter, care about how you act/respond/think/feel that's why they don't mind.

I completely agree. In time people start accepting you as you are and things become easy and comfortable.
