Discussion Question: What are the steps it takes to go from stranger ---> friend/ long term supportive connection on 7 Cups?

I have been thinking about this question and wanted to hear from all of you!
Let me provide a little more context ---->
7 Cups is a platform that helps you all find and build relationships. For members and listeners - these are supportive connections. For 2 listeners, this is about supporting one another as listeners, maybe working on a project together..etc. In both cases, making sure a relationships begins, evolves and continues is the goal. When relationships begin over text, the way the bond becomes solitified and continues may vary from person to person. So I wanted to create a thread for you all to think through how your relationships started, evolved and continue to be maintained on 7 Cups. This can be for both your M-L relationships and your L-l_ relationships. There are no right or wrong answers... just want to learn from you all and have an open forum chat about this topic!
Some questions to consider:
What situations happened that lead to the relationship evolving?
Is there a process by which a friendship/ professional relationship moves from stranger to friend/ established? If so, could you outline these steps ?
What does a 7 Cups friendship look like?
How could we do a better job of making sure everyone helps to build these types of supportive connections on our platform?

This question is a hard one for me to answer...The sense that I am receiving is that you have to put yourself out there to try to meet new people. So far, I am not having much luck, but I am still trying because that is all I can do. I, too, have tried the chat rooms, but end up leaving due to the conversation being totally off topic from the subject matter. I have also tried talking with listeners and have only enjoyed a couple of conversations and the others wanting to steer the conversation in a direction that I did not feel was appropriate.

Sorry. I just don't talk to people well. I get too frightened. I am better at writing things maybe?. I can't always write, but lately, here, the questions make me think about important things. Thank you for that opportunity. It is nice to find I still have a little bit of a voice, somewhere.
@Hunnyluv1l I hear ya, I'm much better in writing, I think. ;) But that's part of what makes 7Cups so nice...that you can take your time and share some ideas in the forums, and respond to some people too. Glad to hear that you're thinking about important things. Try writing some stuff in your feed now and then...that's a good place to test out your voice a little and try to put some of your feelings into words.

@Laura In my expiience is about finding the place where you feel safe, and coming often and sharing many personal things feelings and such, as well as joking together and laughing together and such. Its something you build with trust love and dedication like anything else.
@talktomeok sounds wonderful to build trust and comfort around people. Hope you find some experiences of that at 7cups.
@soulsings well in fact I found my place in 7 cups, and I am building some wonderful friendships in this site, I really love everything about this place
