I feel most misunderstood when I try to explain myself. My verbal communication is bad.

2) my boyfriend compliments me
I feel the most misunderstood when I try to talk to my folks. Communication is a two-way street, but it feels like they have a road block up on their side of the highway...

I feel misunderstood when... My mom acts like I'm faking my social anxiety to get sympathy or using it as a crutch.
I feel most misunderstood when I try to explain why I am feeling upset, scared, or angry and everyone tells me to get over it and that it will be okay. I know it will, but at that moment I wish someone would acknowledge my feelings and allow me to feel them instead of brushing them off as a moment.
I feel the most understood when I'm me. I'm strangely out of sync with people. I prefer my own company because there is no need to expend extra energy attempting to be understood or wondering if I'm misunderstanding other peoples behavior.

I feel the most misunderstood when my family assumes I'm a selfish monster simply because I defend myself. I've worked for years to try to take care of myself and not just others, so when they call me selfish it really hurts.
I also feel misunderstood when people assume I'm quiet because I don't have anything to say... Really, I'm quiet when I'm feeling self protective, or noticing everything around me... I always have something to say, it's not just something people always want to hear.
I feel misunderstood when my schizophrenia acts up and the voices r there but no one believes me because no one else hears voices like I do..
