You sound as though you are considering changes, and have some thoughts about when you would like to do this. Often, we are the person who knows best when to take the next step. You have already begun this just by thinking about it. How will you know when to continue with this?

I think anytime one is conscious it is possible. You just need to decide to do it. It's often easier when things are going well, but I find I get more out of it in the end when I'm going through a tough time.

Now .. Take small steps in the right direction, and make your days count. Start small, and compare yourself today to yesterday's you.

the simple answer to it is when you will accept your current condition and will start thinking positively to solve it. there may be unsuccessful attempts but eventually, you will find the right one.

Well, you asked this question so obviously it seems that you're open to making some changes regarding your life and decisions that you have made in the past. Only you will know what's best for you and only you will know when you're ready to better yourself because at the end of the day you have to be willing to do it for you not for anyone else. You will be ready when your heart and mind tell you that's it time. It's not going to matter what I say, or anyone else for that matter. You have to listen to what's within you in order to make a difference.

When it comes to self-improvement, it can be difficult or even scary to get started. Readiness comes with dedication and a serious wanting for change.

I went through years and years of not knowing that answer. I was always waiting for just the right time, and to be honest that right time never really came. I realized that I had to to just go for it. I tried to better myself and failed, then I gained nothing but didn't lose anything. If I learned anything at all then it was a success. The right time is when you feel like trying.

You already are, because you asked this question! Bettering yourself doesn't have to be in a big, obvious way. Just making the decision to improve your life, even with baby steps, is a great, huge, wonderful step forward. Give yourself permission to relax, and find one small thing you can do today that will make you feel better, and like your life is going in a direction you want. There's never a perfect time, so start any time - right now is good! Take a deep breath. You've got this, and you're ready to live a happier, fuller existence. Love yourself for having the courage to reach out here on 7Cups! :-)

That's an interesting question. I think that your coming here to ask that question is a good indication that you are INDEED READY to begin to better yourself. Perhaps you can start small....make a new positive habit. Break a bad habit. Learn something new. Look for a free class online or at a local technology school to help with self awareness and ways to improve yourself and your life. Perhaps you can sit down and write down the things that you want to improve about yourself and then prioritize that list.....and then get to work without putting too much on yourself so that you get discouraged and frustrated. Make a diary of sorts and track your own progress for those days when you feel like you can't see how far you've come. You're ready and you can do it!

There is no definite answer for that. I personally don't know what you might be going through, and do understand that life is hard. The classic answer is "Now", and sadly, I have to agree with that. There's no "appointed time" that's there waiting for us to make ourselves better. Though life might be hard, I would suggest you to process your feelings first (assuming you're feeling overwhelmed), talk to someone of your close friends, or to any of the listeners here, and after addressing your feelings, you can start working on yourself. It is never too late to start.
