I am going to be 32 in December, so I am still fairly new to my 30s lol I find that the 20s were a much more difficult time for me....it was a time of learning and growing and my 30s is more about making life changing decisions and taking better care of my own well-being. I have always put others first, and am learning to take time for me. I also finally got the strength to cut toxic people out of my life, which has made things MUCH easier for me, and all in all its been beneficial :) Now my main concern is my husband and my kids because I have learned that its not my job to take care of everyone.
Well, I am 29 now going to be 30 next July. So that makes me almost 30!! Age is nothing and just a number for me. But the society makes it difficult and rather challenging to roam around single. I guess most of my peers are facing the same issues. I love 30, in fact i have never been this confident and comfortable in my skin until now. While in my teens i was always trying to fit in and wasn't sure what to like, what to wear, etc. Peer influence was very common back then. Now there are bigger concerns that surrounds me and of course finding myself and who i really am has finally happened. Being beautiful, happy and healthy is all i want for myself and for people of my age.
Hello. I'm 35 and I'm just not feeling my 30's this whole period has been a downward spiral rollercoaster ride and I want off.
Does it get better?
Hi. I just turned 35. I'm not were I expected to be at this age and I think I've been slipping into depression of late because of it. But I'm glad I found this site. It brings comfort to know I'm not alone.
You have us! :)
@WildEarth I completely understand as im in the same tough spot.
@WildEarth you're not alone! It sure is tough with societal norms telling us where we "should be" and for some of us, we're just not there now (or ever). I try to remind myself that it will all work out eventually
somehow, someday
Hello my Terrific Thirty friends :)
Re-intro - I am a staff member with 7 Cups and manage operations, and some amount of business and community strategy. I have loved every moment seeing 7 Cups grow and blossom in the last two years.
I spent most of my 20s studying, so for me 30 is the new 20. Yayy.
Cheers to wisdom, to experience, and to success!
@Twish Haha! It's seems the older I get, the more I'm like, PAR-TAY! ;-) We're typically stable in our jobs at this point and have some extra money to DO things with. I was also very much into studying in the 20's like you were and building my life. While we always grow, I feel like I'm established enough that it's fun time!
@TerriE *gives a high five!*
Hi! If you're looking for me try checking the chronic illness and disability support areas!
I'll be 30 next year so I'd rather post here than in the 20's section. I'm depressed about leaving my 20's. I want to turn back time :(
There is this big scare when we turn 30, but 30s is, in fact, pretty awesome :)
I hope so! ^_^
You cannot turn back the clock dear.. i know the pressure of being or approaching 30 is tremendous but you need to focus and look at the brighter side. Eventually i know you will :)
Hello fellow 30-somethings
My name is Roadie and I am one of the forum mentor leaders here at 7Cups. It is great to see you all here :)
Hello, I am 33 years old. While 20s was awesome, 30s is amazing in terms of self-discovery for me. I feel good, I feel wise, and I feel quite calm about handling things that come my way. I am excited for life, there is lots more to come... both good and bad. I know I will walk, run, stumble, fall, dance, cry, laugh through it all. Here's to 30s! ![]()
Cheers!
