Hey everyone! This is my first post to these forums. I'm 31. I consider myself a 'late bloomer', which makes me feel like I wasted my 20s. About to go back to college in January, and am worried I won't be able to keep up. But, I'm going to try!
Talk to you guys soon.
Just thought I'd advertise here in this forum, which I hope everyone is okay with.
I'm a listener in my mid-thirties .. going through the familiar trials with family, children, work, mortgage, and life in general.
If anybody is after support via private message or chat then just send me a message. Thanks
Hello, are there any other professionals in their thirties here? If so I'd like to connect.
Hi, I'll be 33 in May of this year. I can relate to a few of these posts I've seen. Spent my 20s, I don't know, slow motion explosion?...,anyway, I'm at a point now where I am actively learning who I am and dealing with, and straight up resolving, major issues I used to push away and not face...So to me, my 30s so far have been pick up what's left, dust it all off, throw out the chaff, polish off the rest, and just crack on :)
I just want to say that 30 isn't 60, 60 isn't even 60 anymore, so don't feel like life is over or you are too old to do stuff or live life. A saying I like is that an expert sailor didn't hone his/her skills in calm waters. I think the 30s is a great place to reflect, and move forward from. We had our 20s to run around and bump into everything, or crash through everything in some cases...now we know what to steer clear of, and how tough we are due to all the bumping and crashing. So yeah, looking forward to 34 :)
Hi all I'm 33 nice to meet everyone :)
I am 36 and surprised to see how few of us have posted here. I guess there are a lot of people that don't dig around the forums that much. I never feel old here as I get along with people of all ages very well. I have even met an 81 year old on this site. Keep rocking what you got thirtysomethings.
Hey all I am 29, turning 30 this year!!:) Any advice for me 30's?
@peacefulSoul8 Stay awesome like u r ! i will be 30 this year too :D
@peacefulSoul8 - Most people are scared of the unknown, but if you can allow yourself, your life, everything just to unfold instead of insisting that it has to be a certain way... you'll do just fine.
Hi am 38
Hi everyone. My name is Ocean and I am a 35+ listener. Good to see all of you here!
Hi everyone. I'm turning 31 in a few days. I feel like ever since I turned 30 It's like part 2 of my life has begun...I left my job because I needed to do something meaningful, ended my relationship because it wasn't supporting me ...I devoted my 20s to that job and relationship and now I'm starting over again but no clue on how to navigate through this ...
@quickwittedWheel6511 - I've been in my 30s for a good long while and I've also seen that it can be a time of moving away from what you've dedicated your 20s to. It will be okay. You will find your way. Don't be afraid to do what you feel is right for you. It sounds like leaving your relationship and changing jobs were good choices. There will be times when you get scared. It's okay. You will get through it. Don't be afraid to seek, to ask questions. You will feel alone at times, but there are in fact other people in the world, wanting the same things, asking the same questions. You will be okay.
