I recently turned 37. I quickly realize just how closer I am to 40. So much happens in your 30s. It's like the major fine-tuning time for what you've accomplished in your 20s. That is exciting, but a lot of big stuff happens. I am in a phase now I realize my parents are getting old.

@Belis Its been difficult. They both retired and are driving each other crazy now, and it's getting really bad. But there are issues I have with my dad that make it hard to tell him he's becoming "that grumpy old man", and at 37, it's hard to see my mom struggling with him, which is why I signed on to begin with.
The rest... I feel like I have all kinds of experience, but still can't figure out what to be when I grow up.

My parents are still working and have a way to go. Retirement age for them is 65 and they are in their 50s. They work together so they are used to spending all day with each other so that's a bonus. What worries me most is that they live in Poland and me in the UK so I won't be around when they get older and need practical support.
I do wonder at what point one is classed as a grown up. One one hand I do have a responsible job and make life and death decisions (literally) for other people on daily basis. In my personal life though I can often behave like a spoilt teen.
In two months I will be 31 and it kinda sucks because I am not where I pictured myself being at all.
I'll be 38 in about a month. I don't feel 38, but I'm not really sure what it's supposed to feel like.

Hello, I'm 31 soon, I spent a lot of time in various subcultures, protested the system, lived for my own pleasure and, as a result, I ended up with nothing. Now I do not have a job, there is no family, loneliness presses, but from the last forces I hold, that would not break and not start drinking.
