Hi everyone.
I am 32 turning 33 this year and am a writer trying to freelance to get out of unemployment as a journalist. It's tough to be in your thirties and be so far behind others in terms of job security even though I have a post grad degree and experience. :( it makes me feel like I cannot plan for the future.
@Kiadri Hi! I know just what it's like trying to be your own agent in the freelancing world. I am a writer, too, and freelance ended up not being for me. But I wish you luck! Google "The Kingdom of Paidalot." It's a wonderful community of professional and beginner freelancers working together to help each other succeed. Could be a good place to start!
Remember that it's easy to think everyone else has Achieved Success before you, but that is rarely the case. Everyone has problems, insecurities and fears about the future. Focus on doing what is right for you!

Going to be 31 on the 22th of this year 
Hi everyone. I am 34 and I just feel like in the last year I have really started to figure out what was important. It is good to know that there are people around my age here on this site. I finally opened up and got diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but it is almost a relief, because now I can get help to work through all the mess and mire to find who I really am. 7cups is such a wonderful place full of compassionate listeners, and supportive friends.

Hi everyone im 31 and have been dealing with anxiety and depression. I ended a 6 yr relationship bc of the cheating. Ive been thru alot in the last few yrs. I was raped by my boyfriend. I stayed bc i loved him. I miscarried our child. Im just trying to get my life back together. Thats why im here.

I turned 30 this past January, and it's definitely TOUGH to make friends, when just about everyone else is occupied with weddings, marriages, and babies at this point. Super happy to post in this thread with fellow 30 somethings!!!
@niceScarf143, I'm on the same boat. All my friends are married and having a hard time making friends because of my social anxiety.😕
@ambitiousWater2688 I feel exactly the same way! Most of my friends are so preoccupied, that sometimes it's a struggle to speak up and tell them-"HEY!". And having anxiety doesn't help-only a handful actually take the time to understand. Sigh.
I don't have anyone I can call a friend. The people I went to school with are all married, some with kids, some are pregnant and others are newlyweds. Don't really keep in touch with them. No common interests. It's hard to find other singles in their 30s and make friends with them~

I am 31. I am miserable. I have been miserable for a long while. Thought I needed a life change to become happy. A year into school for my new career and I am still miserable. Thought I would make new friends at school. Not so much. I have lost a lot of myself through the years and I'm just tired. Tired of it all. Feel like I'm just staying alive. Not living.

I'm 31 as well and I'm in the same exact boat as you. Disappointment after disappointment...not living anymore, just surviving. I hope you receive a bit of luck in your life. It sounds like we both need it. 
@JustKeepSwimming85 I'm 30 and I feel the same way. Getting up every day, waiting to go back to bed so I can do it again the next day.
I'm 39 and I feel like my 30s were really key years. I got to know myself well, had some incredibly tough times and some amazing experiences too. I'm grateful for all of that. Very little troubles me in the way it used to. I still have many challenges but let go of things more easily and have faith in the universe. Much more :)

I have recently turned 30. I don't know how it happened. Time flies.
