Say Hello! We want to meet all 40 year old members!
Hello, I am 41, never married, no kids, owned by two cats. Life's ok, but I sure thought I'd have a husband, 2.5 kids, and a dog by now.

@scarletMap3565 Owned by two cats..ha ha I never was a cat person until a kitten showed up in our back yard and I took it under my wing. Now I just love the guy! Hope your doing well.
@scarletMap3565
lol, me too.. Single, 42, 1 dog, no wife. Given how many shattered relationships I've watched my family and friends go through, can't say I regret it at all. Very happy to wait till I think I've found someone I can get on well enough with and I'm mentally and emotionally prepared to go the distance with.
I mean to be fair, its a two way street and all, I need to do the leg work by myself to make sure I'm straight in the head and heart to get it right.
@DaveMcGrath Amen.
I'm 43, never been married, one kid. I can't picture my life any different.
Hi Im 41 years old and have 3 kids. I had split up from my ex two years ago and now I feel less stressed now that I do not have to go through that kind of drama but also at the same time I am getting to know myself

Hi, I am 42 and just joined this group today. :)
@TeenyTinyAppy
Welcome to the group, Appy!
I'm 40. Divorced after 18 years and have an eleven year old daughter.
@RedHawk6547
Hi RedHawk,
Welcome to the group!
I was never married and have 2 daughters, 23 and 24 years old. I am 47.
I'm 44, will be 45 next month. Left a 20 year marriage in 2016. In an amazing relationship now and afraid the behavioral patterns I adopted then and learned growing up in a dysfunctional family will rear up and bite me where it hurts! Looking forward to getting to know myself, and who I can be, on my own terms.

Wow! What a big step to take! I think most of us relate to bringing those feelings into new relationships, but taking things slow and open communication is such a big help! Good luck on your journey and welcome to the new you!
I am 41. Been divorced twice and came out as a lesbian last year. My daughter just graduated high school and is heading to college in the fall.
@Mindfulady77
Hi! Glad you are here! :) Ahhh! The college age and saying goodbye (at least partly)! How do you feel with all of these changes?
Hi! I'm turning 46 in August, and that sounds way too old to me.
I joined here because I've been having trouble coping with some changes (loss of job/income, ongoing tax debt, loneliness, anxiety), but my sister has been getting good results with therapy while she goes through a divorce/child custody situation. I finally feel ready to handle what I've been putting on the back burner for years.
I did get to talk with a listener whom I met in one of the support chatrooms. It was a solid start. She did mostly just listen, and it felt good to share some things that have been on my heart.
Looking forward to being supportive and getting to know you folks here! Thanks for having this group for us.

Hello I'm 42 and newbie
Hi, Im 42and from Chicago. I joined to:
1. Overcome issues with social anxiety, depression, and how these issues cause relationship difficulties at my age
2. Find and make stable and supportive friendships
3. Find support for a tough time Im going through with my best friend recently being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and another so-called friend being a jerk about offering just a few needed words of kindness and encouragement through this difficult time
