@Laura I wish I knew that I wasn't imagining things that I felt weren't right. I wish I had listened to my gut feelings when something was wrong. I wish I had the self-confidence to get out of situations sooner than later, that had/have left me with scars today.

I'd like to invite other 30 somethings to share advice and add posts here. Im 27. I've lived childhood and 20s up till now in a detached bubble of ptsd, depression and anxiety. If you have mental health/healing related advice specific to transitioning from 20s to 30s or maybe key insights for recovery in a 30s lifestyle, I for one would be very interested to hear your experience.

I wish I had known the extent of importance it is to live for yourself and no one else.

I learned about mindfulness and ACT in my 30s and although it would surely have benefited me earlier, what I would like to share is how grateful I am that I specifially practiced mindfulness with my cat the past year. He was a kitten when I adopted him last year and last week he died in an accident as a one year old. Although I am very sad about it, I am also very grateful that when I was with him, I really was WITH him and didn't miss the time I had with him, because I was always somewhere else in my head.

I can personally relate and know your heart ache - my kitty was a year old too.. and I also lost him. The neighbor mistook him for a stray - so, kind of an accident? I was in high school and couldn’t go to school for a week. That was back in 2004.. I can’t say the pain goes away but you will get through it and you are right to cherish your time with them :) abs know they loved you - the bright beautiful soul that they were 💫

Don't trust EVERYONE just because someone smiles at you doesn't mean they defend you when your not there!

Don't trust anyone, beyond IMMEDIATE family and a few close friends (which may as well be family).

2-3 close friends will get you further than 20 people who call you a friend. Most of those will talk behind your back. A good friend will bring a shovel and a case of beer.

At 10 you try to stop what people are saying about you behind your back. At 20 you wonder what is being said behind your back. At 30 you realize it doesn't matter. If people want to spend thier effort talking about you, it means they're thinking about you.

It's not so much about losing weight as redistributing it.

and of course.... If it's important, GET IT IN WRITING. Just because a boss SAYS something will happen doesn't mean it will.

I wish I hadnt been in such a rush. I wish Id known that each life level doesnt last forever. I wish Id known to recognise when I had it so good. I wish Id looked in the mirror and saw beauty. I wish I hadnt chased and been brave to make my own path. I should have danced more. I should have smiled more. I wish Id recognised that those days I couldnt raise my head that something was wrong. I wish I hadnt drowned it out with copious amounts of substances and loose love.

even when you feel you grown up and your parents cant hurt you, even when you are over 30 and you have a somewhat healthy relation with them - they hurt you before, they will do it again. it was a matter of time. dont be gullible like me. that destroyed me.
