I don’t like this new season of my life
Hi, I’ve been really going through it. I’ve recently left a long long relationship. 20+ years of a relationship. I was just done with all of the fighting and walking on eggshells and just never doing anything right. After a huge blow out and him asking me to take off my ring and find a new place to live … I left!. He then backtracked and took it back said he didn’t mean it ..anyways fast forward to now. I just feel like I’m in withdrawal of the routine of my life and I just feel alone, overwhelmed and anxious all of the time. Idk what’s going to happen next and idk I just feel lost.
@rationalCherry0465 I'm sorry you feel alone, lost, anxious, and overwhelmed. You're going through a lot and it's to be expected. Right now things may seem unclear or uneasy, but please give yourself time. You've got to adjust to a new way of life from the one you're used to. Please be patient and easy on yourself as your navigate this new way of life for yourself. I wish you all the best and hope you will be ok. Please don't hesitate putting a request in the queue to connect with a listener if you just need a listening ear. Take care.

it is overwhelming and many might not see which way to go. most people would run back to familiar taking the new uncharted path takes strength and bravery.
I feel you, and I empathize. This is probably one of the hardest things anyone has to do but good for you for having the kind of courage a lot of people don't. I guess ifni was in your shoes I would try and find little things to create a new routine. like buying a plant and watering it every day, or an indoor herb garden. maybe if there are local support groups or social groups to join? keeping busy I think helps me from ruminating.
Good luck, I wish you the very best
So so sorry you have been going through this. Unfortunately I can relate almost exactly to your journey. 15 years for me and even though it's been a year separated I still fee empty and alone which triggers all my abandonment and rejection issue and tho I dont use my old coping methods of impulsively to be with anyone not to feel alone, I have not found a way to be ok alone or to find someone who would accept me and the disorders. I am however ab good listener and if you need to chat I'm here!
I’m going through something similar. 15 years together and she just split. It wasn’t going good for a long time but I always thought we would both come around and things would get better, man was I wrong.
@rationalCherry0465 I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Breakups are so hard. I really hope you can find your groove again soon ❤️

It is understandable that you would feel lost right now. 20+ years is a long time of investing in someone. Give yourself a compassion and trust that you made the right choice for your peace of mind. If you can get through the anxiety, get out and get involved in your community. This can help fill some of the void.
