I am getting older, like we all are 😀, and experience some effects of aging like lower energy than when I was younger. So my priority right now is to stay as healthy as possible physically but also mentally/emotionally for me but also so that I am able to offer the best support I can here on the site.

The biggest priority to me is try to transform some of the negative emotions that I have carried in the back of my mind most of my life.

Current priorities: Like you, I want to focus on good health. I am not necessarily trying to live as long as possible, I'm trying to live as healthy as possible. That said, I will NOT follow this post with a bowl of ice cream... lol.

I've been having a hard time lately, and I'm trying to see this as just a normal part of recovery. I've read that we all have some setbacks from time to time, and this might be one.
I'm just trying to keep going. I've had a hard time in my group meetings lately, because they seem redundant now. We need new material. We keep going over the same material again and again.

I, too, am working on keeping my health the best I can until I graduate. I am trying to hang on as long as I can until I can get a job that gives me health insurance, then I can start to take care of my health problems. Then I can relax.

Been trying to live more healthfully myself, with only intermittent success.
My insomnia & lack of circadian rhythm are unsolvable problems.
It is rather difficult for me to stay disciplined because I know that it will all be to no avail in a few years. (Why do something you know is ultimately useless?) I also don't wish to live past 70 years of age. Both my parents kicked the bucket at 71; the final years/months were not pleasant for either of them...or for me.

My computer recently went bonkers and I lost an important file, so I had to do a reboot of all my files, and a lot got mixed up. I don't know what happened, but it was a mess. Also - to put it in perspective, my fatalistic gloom is not unique. Almost everyone who knows (s)he will eventually d!e has likely felt the same way...the only difference is mine is a bit more exaggerated than most. I get pretty morbid at times. Guess that's one reason why we artists do what we do: it is a way to cheat death. We won't live forever, but our works will outlast us.

Yes, have you ever tried walking? Around the neighborhood, walking paths, around the perimeter of in-door malls, or even taking your pooch for a couple of walks each day. I think walking can help with our energy levels, mobility, socialization, and weight. I lost over 45 lbs a few years ago simply by walking, drinking water, and maintaining a sensible diet.

Wow 45 lbs! Congratulations! (I assume it was a healthy weight loss). I too realized that walking gives me energy. Sometimes I walk to the beat at home when it's too late to go walking outside.
