Q: How much faith do you have in humanity and why or if not what do you think could change it?

A: A lot of faith, because humanity does not act on its thoughts (There is a big difference between thoughts and actions.)

enlightenedHow much faith do you have in humanity and why or if not what do you think could change it? Rather little faith in humanity, possibly because I have rather little faith in myself. I don't think I could change either one

@Offmytrack

Offmytrack, when I listen to the "ordinary" news on TV or radio it makes it hard to have faith in humanity with all what is going on, that's why I also check this site https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/ which, I find, focusses more on the good things people do.

It always helps me to look, sometimes even search for the positive, it is always there also in myself. Hope your faith in yourself and others will be restored. You are worth it heart

I guess my faith is in awareness. Awareness only needs to be emptied out of all that is not necessary to be absolutely wonderful. That is why I keep practicing mindfulness because it helps prepare me for experiencing life more fully.

@soulsings

Thanks for sharing your thoughts soul. I believe life is often much more than we think, we "just" need to see it, become aware = mindfulness

We need to have faith in humanity- because each one of us is part of that humanity- hence have faith in yourself-care and love yourself and this will spill over to all you meet.

I believe that we can have lots of faith in humanity. The one thing that has distinguished us from other animals is our ability to cooperate with one another in large numbers. Together we have been able to build great cities. Together we have created a large distribution system that can get goods and services to everyone throughout the world. Together we will solve the problems that now affect us. Together we will help one another and make the world a better place.

I have a friend who, every day on Facebook he posts "Good and Kind People are the Rule and not the Exception". I believe that is true. People aren't born being mean, or angry. Anger is a responce to an outside trigger. Meanness is just a habitual responce to one's outside experience. I really do think that People try to do good as they persieve it. Having faith in humanity is an offshoot of that. I don't think I could live without the belief that there are people out there in this world who are truely good. I have had the privilege to know a few. I am thankful for that.

That's a great message to send. I share your opinions, I met a lot of good people in my life, people who tried to change the bad things which are happening, glad that you met that kind of people too.

Also belive people are inherently good and compassionate. I think the media focuses on the negative in our society- and a shift in acknowledging positivity daily could change the world.

I don't have faith in humanity as a whole. Because of the fact that there are good and bad people. But I believe that there are more good people than we see. We must find those good ones and work together. That's the way to change things. Seven Cups for me is such a place where people get together and help each other to change things. And I'm very happy about that smileyheartyes

I am very happy to hear that, it sounds so inspiring. I feel myself honored to have the opportunity here with 7cups to help changing as much as we can. I see it as our responsibility towards the universe.

Lauren, I do hope that your faith will be restored. It's hard to have faith when things are so hard and go wrong but the faith is what keeps me going, I hope it will be for you too one day. heart
