That is a easy one. If I finished The internship on 28th that would be one thing I thought would never would help since its a lot harder than I thought it would be.
I was in a new site at my work two monthes ago as an architect supervisor with a colleague as a civil engineer supervisor, but it seemed that our bosses didn't want us in this position for nothing, so they made us pass the hardest time since we have been employed and it ended with firing my coleague in an insulting way and moving me to another site. I feel injustice and unsafe. That all what I have get this week.
@DinaElwy
I can only imagine how upsetting the whole situation was for you and hope that things will turn to normal for you again.
@amiablePeace77 Thanks, I still feel worried and afraid and It see,s like I wait for them to fire me, although nothing is happening now but I can't trust anything or anyone,
@DinaElwy sorry for your difficult situation. Being careful at work and keeping personal life separate from work life is a good idea in my experience.
@amiablePeace77, the cat Chloe is back. It's a long story.
@purpleTree4652
Guess you feel relieved that chloe is back.
@amiablePeace77 It is beyond relieved. It is devine intervention that Chloe is back. I am eternally grateful.
@amiablePeace77
I have slowed down reaction time like anger and sped up recovery time because not creating messy angry outburst. Feels good but still work to do.
@soulsings
Do you mind if I ask: To what do you credit this personal growth? Do you practice mindfulness, meditation, etc? Also, which was more difficult to control: slowing to anger or the faster recovery ?
Sher
@SeekerSher mindfulness helps me stay in the moment and not react when emotions start to rise. I find anger more challenging but the more I stop feeding anger the easier it is to stay calm.
Answering this question is my acheivement that I thought I'd never be able to do. I've been enrolled since July but this is the first time I've posted. I have anxiety about sharing anything personal and certainly wouldn't openly give myself a kudo like this. So, ta-da! 😁
Since I'm on a roll, anxiety also spills over at work in that no matter the level of perfection or expertise, I often feel lacking and think others will see a lack of skill or believe I don't belong in my work position (imposter syndrome). However, a press release went out yesterday that our small department at work won an international award that I didn't think we had a chance to receive. I know that my contribution made that a possibility. Most importantly than being recognized by the reward, I am proud of how that contribution is helping those in our industry.
@StartExploring
Kudos and job well done!!!! 😁😁😁
Sher
@StartExploring
Kudos StartExploring! I am glad you see your achievement! Have you thought about putting this on a collage along with everything else you achieved in your life?
@amiablePeace77
What an interesting concept. I'm a spreadsheet fan so maybe I could use that tool. It might help to look back when I get those feelings of inadequacy. Thanks for the idea!
11 days of sobriety (so far).
@Lauren63
Keep up the good work!!!
Sher
@Lauren63 Awesome!
@amiablePeace77 and everyone who's posted before me 😁😁
The question for this weekend stumped me. After reading and replying to posts from others, I took some time to think about it.
The answer for me is as simple as it is complex: To Live this long. I really didn't expect to live to be married, raise children, see them grown into adults then have children of their own. Each milestone was a surprise and an achievement into itself. And I am now looking forward to the next milestone (whatever that may be).

@SeekerSher
Same here. Married, beautiful home, great kids and a few very good friends. There were many times I look back and think how did I get through this or that. I really shouldn't be here statistically, but well here I am.
@rockym
Yes!!! Exactly
@rockym glad you are here.
@SeekerSher sounds like you are living in the moment which is the best way to live life.
Over the past several months I've achieved some amount of peacefulness from the anxiety attacks I was having through a lot of prayer and meditation. I have a long way to go, but I feel so much better than I did a year ago.
@thoughtfulmomma
As someone who also suffers from anxiety attacks, "peacefulness" is such a lovely word for you to describe your progress
Sher
@SeekerSher
It's the only thing that came to mind. A year ago I could barely sleep, or breathe, or relax. Now I find moments of peacefulness. It's not all the time, but it's so much better than it was, and I can finally rest and most nights I am finally sleeping through until morning.
@thoughtfulmomma sometimes when I have trouble recharging or falling asleep, I listen to this body scan meditation https://youtu.be/8gevAxNb4u0
Hmmm. I think ending an unhealthy relationship and moving across the country to give my son a different and more stable life. But that was 6 years ago really. It's all a work in progress
@peacecat
It takes a lot of courage to get out of a toxic relationship, glad you did!
I have a house and financial security. I never expected to have that in life considering the debt I started with.
@HappyDucky8, Wow, you're blessed in that respect. I don't have those things.
have a lovely day.
