Hold onto things that mean something to you and do not lose contact with friends even if your relationship has changed. Follow interests that lead in a positive direction.

Tova, finish your degree. The beauty industry is not for you. 

This is what I would say to another: 
Think about an unconventional education. It can be anything that gives you an in-demand job, no matter where you are. You could choose something people need on a regular basis in your culture or country. You may not do that job right away and pursue something else, but you have a trade to fall back on in difficult times.

What would you have appreciated that someone would have told you about being a student at your time and what is something you like to let today's students know?

Appreciated someone told me during my days as a student - “You can do it! Just always believe in yourself! You’re smart! You definitely got this!”

Something I’d tell today’s students - Along with everything that I wish I was told when I was a student I’d also add “Whether your parents work or not, what they do for work, how much money they make, have and save, where you and your parents were born, none of that matters. What anyone else says about you doesn’t matter either bc no one else knows you as much as you know you. What matters is what you tell yourself and whether or not you believe in yourself. Once you realize and accept all this, absolutely nothing and no one will stop you.”

Wow, what a great prompt! I wish I could have told my younger self that when I found a profession for which I had an aptitude and passion, that taking classes to learn about that field would seem effortless. Sometimes it’s a road of discovery to find that field.

For students of teday sometimes things willbe tough buth at school as well in your day to day life but whatever it takes never quit and when issues arise if you cant Chat to family or friends go out and find someone who will listen to you regardless it be a teacher, social worker, priest, rabbi etc, Theres always someone out in this world willing to listen but its up to you to reach out otherwise no one will know you need someone or somethin’.

I keep reading this title, is it a day for international students or a international day for students? International students had a fairly big presence at all the universities I attended/worked at.

I would tell students to find balance in their life. There are times when school gets intense and other things have to be temporarily shifted aside - that's fairly normal especially for difficult post secondary programs. Make the time for other things when possible though, have fun!

You don't have to be a particular age to be a student. The fact that you're accepted into a particular program itself testifies that you deserve it. You're meant to reach greater heights.
