Small Steps

"Write about a time when you took a seemingly small—a step which led to incremental changes and a boost in confidence."
Not sure what to say.. I think i would learn to exercise more? I haven't really been exercising and I've let myself go for awhile now. Hm. Lets play it by ear 😅

My seemingly small step was to sleep early. I used to sleep at 9 pm, but after the long weekend, I started sleeping late again. Yesterday, I slept at 9 pm again, and it felt good.

I joined an after-school program for youth when I was younger. It helped quite a bit with my social anxiety, and even public speaking! I still use a lot of what I learned in that program to this day.

It happened a week back. After seeing that I'm surrounded by a lot of people who try to take advantage of me, I decided to cut myself off from them. I decided that no matter what happens I'll not let any of their actions bother me and take away my inner peace. I've stopped trying to hold on to people who don't give enough efforts to maintain a relationship. And really it has gotten better. The simple act to not care has not only kept me calm but it feels like as if I'm free. I smile more than usual and my face glows too.

Hmm... okay. A time when I did that was when I stopped exercising to get skinnier. I completely changed my mindset about working out. I started working out just to be fit and to feel good about myself (just like Cassey from Blogilates says) and I started feeling better about myself :D
Now I haven't worked out in a while and I'm gaining weight and fat. I still love my body regardless of it but I think I'll start working out again now lol

When I was little my dad left so Ive struggled since then with trusting men. Well a couple years ago a amazing man came into my life (who would quickly become my uncle) and I decided to trust him through practically baby steps, and well now its impacted me incredibly as we love each other to pieces, and Ive gained confidence in not only him for knowing hed never leave me like my dad did, but also confidence in myself for learning that I did nothing wrong. Most importantly though I learned that not only do I deserve to be loved by a male, I also learned what my worth truly is, and that I deserve a lot better than how I was treated by my dad. Im proud to say that my a lot better is my goofy, wacky, sometimes annoying uncle lol! 😂... I wouldnt change that for the world though! ❤️...
This is a hard question but when I started accepting and taking care of myself more, my self-esteem improved

I stopped caring about people by stopping myself from reacting to every given situation that I used to do a lot before. I've learned that not every situation requires your reaction and it has helped me a lot by boosting my confidence. Now, I'm more confident than I was few years back! :)
Coming out to a trans friend and a genderfluid friend with my pronouns- they started using them for me, which has helped me feel more comfortable in my own body!
Small steps- tackling mounds of paperwork, getting organized again. Learning that I don't have to always procrastinate- and why I put these chores on hold. Very tiny baby steps. Only have to work at it for 5 minutes at a time- not hours.
