Think about a moment on 7 Cups where you felt the strongest sense of community?

There are a few ways the seeds of community are planted.

One is from establishing relationships and trust between individuals within a group. Trust starts to grow the moment two individuals start to connect and share. Slowly but surely, they continue to chat, and the trust grows. They get to know one another. From trust, comes support. Community building starts from a collection of trusted connections.

@Laura I have experienced a sense of community amongst the members and listeners on the trauma community and have been so proud of the members who reach out to others with support and much compassion. smiley

This is such a lovely thread! I'd say I feel the greatest sense of community in the Teen Listeners room, because we're all there to support each other and we're all a similar age smiley

It's my lovely LGBTQ+/MOGII subcommunity for sure! It's really diverse family, like really, we all have various sexualities, romantic attractions and (or) gender identities and of course different experiences from our life but it is not making us to support and feel each other strongly. I have never seen so much support and understanding before and I really feel like every person there is my real family member, someone I can fully trust. I know my usual members from check-ins and I know what is going on in their lives and I know that others do it as well so it makes our connection very very strong. I honestly have no idea what I would do without that subcommunity in my life as it changed it a lot!

@RaCat exact same for me! in all my other experiences on this site, it seems like just a bunch of random people connecting, only to never think of each other much afterwards, or like people have small, uninviting cliques that are hard to break in to...but on the LGBTQ+/MOGII subcommunity, it just feels so inviting and connecting? Like I know that these people care about me and notice when I'm gone, and I feel the same for them. And we just adopt anyone who joins in, everyone is so welcome and included, it's just a great place :) I used to be afraid of forums and pretty much just stuck to 1-1 chats before, but having that subcommunity changed my opinion a lot and now I feel like I actually 'belong' somewhere on the site, rather than just a random listener in the herd.

@Laura

I have experienced a great sense of community at the Traumatic experiences support :) Chat wise, I've seen great support and compassion at Healthy Living and in Disability Support, when the rooms are active. When I joined the site, I frequented Anxiety Support and found that the members back then had a good community and knew eachother's stories. Of course some of those members are still around, but I remember how great it was to see the 15 people (average back then) stop everything to support anyone having a panic attack, to remind someone with health anxiety that they were healthy despite them thinking up a new illness daily, to congratulate people for their achievements. I think Trauma Support is on a good path to get there. :)

I feel a sense of community everywhere on 7 cups, but the strongest sense of community I get is in the Disability support chat. Everyone there gives me a sense of banding together to help each other out.
