Dinner With Our Alumni: ouiCherie

Hi everyone! It's already April and I hope spring-time is blossoming upon everyone! I am here with yet another special alumni for the Dinner With Our Alumni series! For all those that are new, the dinner series is a series of small interviews that I do with the Leadership Development Program (LDP) alumni to spread more awareness about the program and to hoopefully help out our current trainees.

So, today's interview is with @ouiCherie! ouiCherie is a full-time, working mom and a lifelong learner - all the power to her <3 They are fascinated with writing, medieval age stories, digital marketing, neuromarketing, psychology, philosophy (phew, what a superwoman. I got tired just by typing so many interests out xD) They love waterfall and the ocean! They also love coffee latte but of course, only cups of tea are served here!

What was on the menu? A feast! We had: Apple, apple turnover, wood-fired pizza, sweedish meatballs and satay. Yum! I think I am full for all of next week, lol!

What made you join the LDP?

I enjoy learning. As weird as it sounds.

How was your experience doing the coursework?

It was amazing. The program is brilliantly developed for us to understand 7 Cups vision, mission and value as well as for personal self-improvement.

Did you find it easy to navigate through the forums for each course?

Yeah, it was pretty easy. Apart from that, I forgot to submit weekly reports.

How did you dedicate your time to doing the coursework?

I know this will sound weird. I copy-pasted the material to Google Doc. Whenever I had free time, I read it over and over...and spent time thinking about the lesson before I wrote the answer. I repeated the cycle for the rest of the course. It was fun. For me, at least!

Which course did you like the most? And why?

On LDP, The most is Course 3. Because I found the lessons on that course essential - About the circle of concerns and circle of influence, about denial that comes from fear which leads to finding distraction, about how the problem is the path, how beginning with the end in mind can work like a guidance and 3 components to face life problems.

What role did you get into after the program? How are you liking the role you got into for the LDP?

I became a Room Supporter and I am enjoying it!

If you had to give one tip to the current trainees, what would that be?

Enjoy the journey and spend time on each lesson to get the most benefit of the course.

What can we do to make the program better?

The LDP system is already good. Well done!
