Leadership Spotlight: bookworm274

We’re kicking off the last week of March by highlighting the work of one our teen mentors! @Bookworm274 joined the Cups family in 2020! Among her many contributions, Bookworm is a Teen Community Star for the Anxiety Support subcom and a strong driving force behind the Needs Reply Team!
Why did you nominate Book?
Book is the type of a do-er. Works in a steady and a consistent pace. They are also proactive to help solve a problem. If you can get Book on your team, consider yourself lucky!
In 3 words, Book is…
3 is not enough. Book is observant, stable, organized, compassionate and a natural born leader. Thank you for being you Book! 💜
We asked Book some questions to get to know them better!
Favorite quote or song? I have a favorite quote from a song: "don't take yourself so seriously"
What is your proudest 7 Cups achievement?
Although this isn't leader related, my proudest moment would definitely be my first chat because I was absolutely terrified but I did it and they even left a positive review!
A fun fact about you I have 5 younger siblings (and they're all brothers so I'm the only girl!)
If you had one piece of advice for our community (leaders/listeners/members/whoever), what would it be?:
Don't be afraid to ask for help and to get stuck into things - if you have a project or idea bring it up to people and chances are something will come of it!
What is one word that embodies 7 Cups to you? Community
Have you worked with Bookworm? Tell us about it in the replies!

Do you know an awesome leader who deserves to be nominated? Please fill out this form!
Love the don't take yourself too seriously idea and that you pushed through your fear and took you first chat. I'm not surprised they gave you a positive review! Thank you for helping others learn to worry less and face their fears (as modeled!) :)
@GlenM

Such a well deserved spotlight! Congratulations, Book, it is an absolute pleasure to work with you, I'll throw extra light on your leadership within the Needs Reply Project, it is certainly not easy to keep a track of so many things, you've been consistent in managing it all and doing so well at it. Many many thanks for being so committed in the work you do here, you create massive impact and it clearly shows and and and is greatly valued and appreciated.
Thanks for being so wonderful! ❤️ Not taking ourselves too seriously sounds amazing haha, wondering what song is that from? :P
Adore that fun fact about you xD
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thank you - it is amazing working with you too on the team! The song is False Confidence by Noah Kahan - I highly recommend it (warning: it does contain one curse word so it is up to you if that is something you want to listen to!)
Haha - yes, I always use it as my fun fact - I don't know if that suggests anything about my lack of experiences though!
@bookworm274
Aw thankyou, and I'd certainly try that recommendation.
Honestly? That's uber fun lol, when I'm asked a fun fact, i go blank xD andddd we have all the time to have more experiences, no rush! ❤️
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Haha, yes - it is definitely the ice-breaker that is most likely to result in an "I don't know" response! And I love that - definitely have time for more experiences!
@bookworm274
Lol yasss xD anddd yay *high five*
@Heather225

Hi H! 😊❤️ Thank you so much for the amazing forum post and recognizing hard working teammates in our community! It's so nice also to be given the opportunity to get to know our teammates even better this way! *high fives* 😊 and big *hugs* ❤️
Hi Book! 😊❤️ Congrats on being selected! woooooo hoooo! *high fives* 😊
I really gotta' say, I loved your quote "don't take yourself too seriously". ahhhh, my friend, you are truly part of my "tribe" lol! Makes me think of the concept of *High Warmth and High Expectations* (one of the 7 cups core values). Time and place for everything I guess. I take others seriously, work ethic seriously, but hey now, laughing at ones self (everybody join in please) actually adds to the beauty of being a fallible human being and kind of embraces the part of high warmth In my opinion. Rest assured, I don't always get it right and if it's not a "big deal" then it's just not a big deal and it ends of being a "hoot and a half for me"! *high fives* 😊 and big *hugs* ❤️ Please be rest assured, I will find a way to laugh and in a lot of ways today! weeeeeeeeee weeeeeeeeeee!
@SparkyGizmo
Thank you so much! *enthusiastically high fives back* Yes, very true - it's important to act serious in certain circumstances but also to learn to allow mistakes (a very hard lesson for me which I am still trying to achieve) and to laugh!
Note to self: mission to laugh today! ❤️
@bookworm274
❤️❤️❤️
@bookworm274
Awww im so proud you got recognised for how amazing I know you to be!
Anyone reading this I want you to know Bookworm is the hardest working person that I have had the privilege of working with. They are the sweetest person and so attentive to every detail in a project. So unbelievably deserved ♥️
Although I must admit that comment about a natural born leader did make me chuckle a bit. I know how hard you have worked on your confidence to be able to lead and I really admire that 🙂
@Azalea98
Aw, thank you so much! ❤️Haha, yes - confidence does not come easily (hopefully it has improved 😝)
Congratulations @bookworm274, you are really awesome ❤️
