Relapsed today...
I haven't had a relapse since june, I have been having lots of slips and everytime I stopped myself , grounded myself , I'm not sure what's the purpose of writing this here, but i just want to post it as a reminder, I'm not where i was 3 months ago, these past few months I've been trying hard not to relapse, every single time I had a slip , i reached out... I won't let this discourage me. And won't spiral into this one relapse make things worse. I'm sad and feeling guilty... I tried to stop but couldn't 😔
I just need to say I'm feeling sad... I'll keep trying and I'm still on my journey, I will not give up on myself.
I have more control and self awareness than I had before, i choose what I do, I'll never go back to the worse. I don't want to lose this self control and awareness... I've built, I'll keep trying, and keep working on it.

Hey.
I'm so sorry that you relapsed but please know this doesn't take away the progress and the hard work that you have already put in. Be gentle on yourself, this doesn't have to define you. You can start again, one day at a time
You have my support and care 💜💕
@Amanda84 Thank you❤️
@fossilfellow
You are welcome 💜

Hey, I just want to say I really admire your honesty and the strength it takes to share this. slip isn’t the same as starting over strength and awareness you’ve built are still there. Feeling sad and guilty is natural, but please remember that one relapse doesn’t define you or undo the work you’ve done. You’re still moving forward
@fossilfellow
The journey is a constant one. I applaud your honesty and efforts. Yes we will slip but the most important part is that we keep getting up, keep going.
I appreciate the fact that you still reach out, it shows that you are serious about beating this and gives the addiction a wake up call because you not sulking and accepting defeat. When we stay down it gets the better of us
Wishing you all the best on your recovery
You’re not alone.
@fossilfellow Healing is not a staircase going upwards. We believe once we walk out of something bad, our addictions, we never return. But it's never true. Healing is a path with downfalls. Oh we will drown, and drown hard.
My healing journey started on June. I relapsed many times. Last week I was good. This week I relapsed. I hate myself. I really do. But it's not like before. I reach out. I write down my feelings every time i fall. I cut down loose ends every time I fall. That's healing.
You cant expect that you'd never have a relapse again because healing is not a staircase. It's hard. Very hard. You will go back, but its not the same. You come back quick. Just know that you are healing. A smooth see never makes a skilled sailor. So know that this is making you grow.
You are healing. We are healing. and it's not perfect but we expect it to be imperfect. So we grow.
I did the same exact thing the other day but learned that I’m not going to feel guilt or shame anymore! U are always going to be an addict slips are gonna keep happening until u finally say you’ve had enough n ur going to find something else to do when u wana use do something else to distract urself n it will pass! That’s what I figure out that I gota do something healthy when I can’t get using out of my mind. It usually gets in my mind n I can’t think of anything else n temptation always wins but if u make urself do something then it will go away! I feel like im changing so much n it’s getting easier to do wo more n more. Also the slips are getting farther apart so i think i can stop for good n u can too. I believe in u! Take care
@fossilfellow any update on how youre doing? ❤️
@treefrog1234 I still struggle with my addiction but it's much less often now than before, I realise it's not a straight path, I'm slowly getting better at handling myself when the urges get strong and finding alternative ways to manage them. thank you for asking ❤️❤️
