Hello, My Dear Global Friends,
Today I drifted back to my childhood when we bonded with each other in the pre-technology-ridden era. It made me so nostalgic about the wonderfully simple yet immensely fun-filled games we played,
So how about sharing..: ' What was your favorite childhood game '... do share from whichever part of the world you are and do describe the game in a sentence or two. If you can add a photo of it then it would be great.
Let's have more and more of you share .
I will share my favorite one after a few of you have shared.
Come on let's get started.
Cheers from India.

Ahh... this is cool! Yep those days before smartphone 😅

I couldn't get enough with hopscotch, jenga and bycycling. I still think those are fun xD

I don't like hide and seek tho... It made me anxious lol

Thanks for the post Tani. What's yours? What's popular for Indian kids those days?

Hey Tani!

I'd say my favorite game as a child was kho-kho (a traditional Indian game bit like tag, but not quite xD)
i used to play it all the time in school sports periods as a child, i don't remember exactly what age i stopped playing it, but it definitely formed a huge part of my childhood and helped me build valuable skills like teamwork, agility and speed!

Ok, so I will share my favorite game. I grew up with a battalion of cousins
so group games were great fun...
we loved playing 'PITTHOO'
It was played between 2 teams, with 6-7 pieces of stones, they were supposed to be stacked into a pile after being tossed down by a ball, the other team would try their best to prevent them from doing so...
wooaaahhhh it was such a blast. I organized it before the Covid on a picnic I went with my friends laugh

Thank you for the question. I always admire posts related to childhood memories or anything related to the childhood period as it takes me back to those carefree and wonderful days that I still wanna have back. ❤

Being an adult is exhausting! 💼😅
As time passes by, I appreciate my childhood more. Those were the days where we knew so little yet we were at peace. We were naive but we were so pure. We were immature and but it was a plus point since we knew no jealousy, painful breakups, life failures, etc. I miss those good days, I miss those golden days... ❤

As a child, my favorite game was the Video game: Mario which was so popular at that time. I used to play it with my Lil brother; Langdi, Dodgeball, Chor-Police, Chhuppan Chhupai(Hide & Seek), Pakdam Pakdai, Kancha. Lagori, Lattoo, Antakshari, Housie, Ludo, Pen fight, Dots, Name-place-animal-thing, Flames :D <3

Please visit these sites below to learn more about them all. (Pictures included)💙
Greetings from India 🇮🇳 ❤

Love,
-Angel

I remember playin soccer on the road of our neighrborhood with plastic ball and pair of our footwear as the goal. The plastic ball flew everywhere from one's foot to another, took a dip in the sewer, even trespassing someone's lawn. Not quite safe and not quite hygienic it is, but we were only kids and having fun was all that matter. It also full of tragedy as one might fell on the rough surface of the ground and hurt themself, the ball might lost its durability and flattened, and due to the unclear rules unnecessary disagreement may arise. This game was our business, a serious one that some fights may involve parents. 😅😅😅

Love from Indonesia 🇲🇨

hi! i was born in 91 in russia. back then in late 90s, my favorite game was jumping over elastics. it required enourmous elastic band, which was placed around the ankles of two “anchor” players. i havent been very outgoing child, so i played it by placing the elastic band around legs of two chairs :) even though it may sound kinda odd, i have had fun :)
