What culture would you like to learn about?
We are more familiar with some ethnic groups and less with others.
Which country's culture would you like to learn more about and share any particular reason you may have for it? Would you visit the country if you had the chance ? Would you make friends from that ethnic group to learn more about their values and traditions ?

To me:
The French language has a lot of attraction. I even tried learning it for a few months once but Ive forgotten now. I have watched French films and I enjoyed their portrayal of romance quite a long. A couple of French songs I heard seemed to resonate a lot of sensitivity that I kind of liked. I also believe the French are a courageous and honest nation.
I would also like to learn more about Lebanese. I had some interaction with them. And they seemed very generous and extremely blessed with beauty as well. Of course, I love their food the most.
I would love to learn more about the French and Lebanese history, traditions, values and more. If you have any knowledge to share, Id be happy to hear.

Not a specific culture, but many! I'd love to learn about African cultures. I wanted to be a missionary there for many years <3

@Creamyyy i think i'd really like to learn more about japan's culture. there's something deeply layered about how tradition and modern life coexist there, like how centuries old tea ceremonies still matter in a world with bullet trains and neon cities lol. it feels respectful, and quiet in ways that i admire.
if i had the chance, i’d absolutely visit. i’d want to go beyond just touristy places though, maybe even stay with a local family or visit rural towns where the life isn't as fast. i think those kinda experiences teach you more than any guidebook. and yeahh, i’d also really wanna make friends from that culture. not just to learn about the customs, but to hear like the more personal stories of how they grew up, what mattered in their families, what they’ve carried forward or maybe let go of. that kind of connection makes the culture feel more alive to be honest, and not just like something you study from the outside.
I traveled to Japan last year without knowing what to expect. I was very surprised yet charmed by the culture!

I too like to learn about personal experiences of people within their cultures and not just seeing the touristy attractions - i love the idea of how we can connect as people beyond our apparent differences.

While I was in Australia, it was so interesting learning all about the aboriginal culture, so much colour, creativity, history, story telling, it was a privilege 💜🥰
@Amanda84 oh this sounds so interesting...I just looked it up. I thought Australia was just about the sunny weather- the culture i never knew. But this is intriguing.

Indigenous Australians are marvellous. I have a lot of respect for them. I lived on their land for a while, and they are kind, generous, and understanding. They not only found a way to live in the harsh environment, but a way to thrive.
I especially love their invention of the returning boomerang. It's so simple, it's like magic to me.
I think they are quite wise. They are community-minded. We could all learn a lot from them.
They deserve more than they currently get. We stormed in carelessly, causing great suffering. Yet, they live alongside us. It is a level of humility and compassion that I'm not sure I'll ever understand, though I will never stop trying.
They sound like incredible people <3

@Creamyyy I am learning and I would still love to learn way much more about Indian culture and its history" Everything is fantastic and new and different! I am learning hindi but I am not making much progres though makes about 2 years I started doing so. I will surely get better about it. 😄

@Creamyyy There's so many out there I want to learn about, even ones that are farther back in history! Only problem is, I don't know which sources out there are primary sources or secondary. (Primary = True Source), (Secondary = Altered or Opinionated Source), or which site/book I can look at that can provide accurate information, especially with some cultures that aren't as popularized. 😓

Yes learning about other cultures could be the best thing a person can do, as it exposes us to other ways of living and all those exotic foods 😁
I just love me a good story and a good meal .so if i have a chance i would love to learn about the japanese culture and the persian culture .

I would like to learn more about Japanese culture. I learned Japanese for a year and did quite well, but I've forgotten most of it.
Their writing is very artistic. One symbol can hold much meaning.
That being said, I'm quite curious about all cultures. Humanity is diverse and special. Honestly, I'm still learning about my own culture!
Chinese symbols, too, are deep and symbolic. Very fun learning about the little meanings in each term! <3

I have a bit of Italian, German and Serbian heritage and feel like I know the least about the Serbian culture and customs. Definitely something I'd love to learn more about though, especially the food and music!
