What does blue feel like?
Hello everyone, I need your help, I'm trying to create something involving the color blue and my question is, what emotions do people feel while thinking about the color blue? And what shade of blue are you thinking?
I'm asking here because you people are always so thoughtful and amazing, maybe I can get an honest answer, thank you all so much<3

I like thought provoking questions like these! 😀 What are you creating?
Honestly, when I hear “blue” what comes to mind are “Monday blues” but it’s only because of how normalised this term is and how often this idea is embedded in our minds~ however, when I keep that aside, what comes to mind is a serene, tranquil, liberating feeling! Like the wide sky in light/ pastel blue or the deep oceans in different shades of blue~ I find it calming and “surrendering what’s out of my control to something bigger than me”. 🩵
Hiii thank you for the answer, it's great to find people that like a challenge.
I used to not be able to communicate well, to this day I still have something inside me that screams but I don't know what It says, so I'm stuck feeling like I have to say something without knowing what or how, until I figured out that I don't have to say anything at all to express myself I just have to find a way to do it and that was blue, the color of both sadness, calm and energy depending on the shade.
I'm currently working with this concept to create something like a line of clothing and jewelry (nothing concrete yet I'm a teenager with hopes and dreams) so that everyone can sort of rebel against the bad things around them silently like when blue sky appears after the rain between clouds.
I hope this answers your question! <3

When I think about the color blue, it brings up feelings of calmness, stability, and trust. For me, blue has always been a reassuring and grounding color—it feels steady, peaceful, and dependable. The shade that comes to my mind first is a soothing mid-to-light blue, something like the color of clear skies or calm waters, which makes me feel centered and at ease.
Well blue is my favorite color, i appreciate the brightness and calming nature of the color blue. I aee blue as a happy color and have never understood why it is related to sadness in songs and poetry. Blue to me is a wholesome color that reflects (to me) the good things in life. Its an inspirational color for me and it goes great with most other colors. It really stands out against contrasting colors and really pops in most lighting conditions. My favorites are really the entire spectrum of blue. Its an awesome color.

When I read you question the first thought of blue I had was the feeling of cold air and water on skin. ( a double element)
The colors are at least trifold (white, light blue , dark blue)

Blue can mean so many things to different people. Blue mostly means something positive. I love blue. it reminds me of the deep sea or the sky when it does not have clouds. it is both peaceful and beautiful. it brings me to a place where there is no end to it. it is the color of cool, peace and space.
@tallPark8348 peace happiness and release

I think it represents living freely without any restrictions and represents a lot of purity and hope. When I think about this color, I see nothing in front of me but the sea and the sky.
It is truly a color that indicates complete relaxation.
