I Had a Birthday Last Tuesday… and No One Remembered
I don’t even know why I’m writing this, but I just need to let it out somewhere. My birthday was last Tuesday, and no one wished me. Not a single message, not a call—nothing. It was like I didn’t exist.
I’ve always felt alone, but this hit differently. I keep telling myself that maybe people were just busy or forgot, but deep down, it just hurts. I see others getting flooded with love and attention on their birthdays, and I wonder why I don’t have that. Do I not matter? Am I that easy to forget?
I don’t have real friends. I don’t have anyone to talk to when things get tough. Most days, I pretend it’s fine, but tonight, it’s not. I just wish I had someone who cared.
If anyone has ever felt this way, how do you deal with it? How do you stop feeling like you’re completely alone?
@LunarEcho7 I'm so sorry no one acknowledged your special day, but I would like to wish you a happy belated birthday. 🎂🎈🥳 You are special and you matter!

Thank you means a lot ❤️
@LunarEcho7 You are most welcome. ☆
You're not alone. Happy birthday! You are alive and here and you matter! ❤️
Keep searching for your people. They are around.

Hey, that happened to me last year. It sucks and sometimes when I feel down I wonder if anyone really cares about me at all. It’s hard to feel that there’s a purpose in existing. I get it. But also, it’s not like everyone conspired together to forget. Life gets in the way and somehow everyone forgot, but ur still loved by them u know? It’s really sucky sometimes.
Happy birthday!
It sucks I emphasise with the they do not care part. Idk if you are like me but I always have to impression I am so easily forgettable and it hurts. For the birthday part I totally understand but maybe you're surrounded with people having a hard time remembering birthday ( I'm like that I always have 2 dates in mind one good one wrong and I always struggle to remember which one is good and which one is wrong lol)
Thank you for the birthday wishes — that means a lot!
I really relate to what you said. It’s hard not to feel invisible sometimes, especially when something as personal as your birthday gets overlooked. I totally get the struggle of feeling like you're easily forgotten, and that can hit deep. It’s not even always about the date — it’s about wanting to feel seen and valued.
I appreciate you sharing your experience, and honestly, it helps to know I’m not the only one who feels this way sometimes. Your kindness today made a difference — thank you again.
I really think we're a lot in that situation and it's hard because if you are like me you always wonder what do you do that makes you so forgettable. So true is that it's not you, it's the people around you. The right people don't forget you
Well remember there are just as many ways to be alone as there is to have company! So to start you could get a pet! The look of love never fades. Or you could join a club near by or online ! Book club ,running club , you name it! Don't forget the gym as well. Just going regularly can help people feel comfortable enough to talk to you. Play games online too. Gives you a chance to make friends. When I have my cat in my lap while gaming it helps to feel not so alone.
Brother, make good friends, need to be more extrovertish. You matter, just need to be with the correct people.
@LunarEcho7 Many Happy returns of the day... You matter and forever will.
Hey DashyTalk,
Thank you so much for this beautiful message and the powerful image. It honestly brought tears to my eyes.
Some days it’s hard to feel seen or remembered, but your words made me feel both. You reminded me that I do matter—and that means more than you know.
Sending you my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for being there, even from afar.
I’m so so sorry 😞 virtual hugsss (if ok) and a very happy (so it’s late) birthday 🎂 you deserve the world 🌍 xx
Thank you so much—your message truly touched me.
Late or not, your birthday wish means the world to me. And yes, virtual hugs are absolutely welcome (and needed!).
You made me feel seen, and that’s such a precious gift.
Sending love right back to you—thank you for your kindness
