“Immerse Yourself in a New Interest” Challenge!
Here’s a new challenge for y’all!
So you know how we get stagnant, get stuck in a rut, end up defaulting to the same things?
Not anymore. ;)
So here’s your challenge:
Choose a new interest (or a long forgotten one!), and investigate it in some way <3
Classical music? Put on a playlist while you do something else. The military? Watch a documentary about the Marines. Cooking? Watch “Next Gen Chef”. Improv? Take a free class at the library. Native American history? Read a book about it. YA books? Get a recommendation for a good one from our 7Cups community.
Something. Anything. Do something SMALL. Don’t be afraid that you’re not doing enough! <3
And most importantly… Tell us about it!
Let’s get out of our comfort zone and explore something new <3

Okay, I'm determined now. Thank you for the motivation. I dread stepping in the kitchen except for my coffee. It's high time I change that. I'm gonna try making Bruschetta tomorrow for the first time ever. I'm gonna be such a chef in the making.

I’m doing this by watching a documentary on Netflix about the Marines. I started watching it last night! Keep in mind, it’s got a lot of cussing and not-so-good stuff in it. But it’s really intriguing to get inside the mind of Marines. My old best friend was a Marine…

@jesusredeemedme2425 I´m currently trying to make some christmas tree ornaments out of silicone mold and air drying clay. I used to do some very basic pottery years ago (not on wheel tho), and we did some plaster molding after we ate our advent callendars as kids, but never workked with air dry clay before. I had some bought before for a maybe craft lol, but never did it and now i decided i should make my grandma an ornament set. I tried it and it all got cracked up because i poked it around, not knowing when to remove it. Then i did another attempt, with not touching it until it dries. It cracked up anyway as it dried. Now i´m testing a different air dry clay, and it´s in the drying process in the mold now. Thoughts and prayers for me 😅

@ShadowFaerie it cracked on one place, probably because that was my test place. Will try tomorrow one more time and then decide if it will work 😥

That was mine too! I've lost a little weight which makes it easier for me to move, and now I want to play Just Dance again! Only this time I have to use YouTube videos instead of a gaming console, but it works just the same! :)

I've been thinking about relearning how to crochet for a while. I only knew some very basic stitches but found it enjoyable. I'm investigating some tutorials and making a list of what hook(s) and yarn to start out with. I'll be making a trip to the craft store soon. Wish me luck 😊
