A question for reflection
If someone abused you all your life and then gave you a hefty monetary payment as compensation, would it ever compensate?
@Creamyyy
This is a good and deep question... Thought-provoking.
@Creamyyy
It wouldn't ever compensate for anything ! It wouldn't take away their guilt or what they had done in any way at all or the pain 🥺
@Creamyyy
nope. I know the abuse part, not all my life, but what it was, was too much and compensation wouldn’t take the pain away. The healing in the inside. It’s Just a band aid.
@Creamyyy Money cannot compensate the loss inside. Abuse maybe physical or mental, but always leaves deep everlasting wounds in the soul. Materialism can never heal the wounds of the soul. My parents would always guilt-trip me into doing what they wanted. I know its not abuse but similar now no matter how much money I have I feel guilty for doing things for myself and my parents don't even live with me, so its like a conditioning now.
No. Money does not change the past , only tries to paint over it and pretend it never happened so the person or people who are trying to cover this up can continue hiding from their guilt and continue to no accept their role in that abuse and avoid all accountability for it.
Heck nah, tell them witht hat money to go to therapy likee??? I swear those ppl be doin ANYTHING but accountability, apologises, changes and therapy.
I hope one day abuse has very very low low rate in this world.
Well as we say, money can’t buy everything. And as someone who’s been abusing you for years, now feels guilty about it and gives you money, as it wasn’t worth more than that, it doesn’t sound good to me.
I’m sorry for what you went through. We are here for you. How are you feeling now?
