How do you talk to people?
I used to do it effortlessly, but as years went by I started staying away from people and just keep to myself, I normally don't talk to anyone unless they talk to me first... Like what do you say? It feels really akward and nerve-racking 😅
@WanderingSoul1111 It can be intimidating and a lot of people get anxious trying to communicate. I guess my tip would be try broad topics, like, food, music, movies, games.. Everyone has opinions on those.
You can ask questions on things or you can share what interests you and people will jump in :)
Thank you for the insight â¤ï¸ but what if you can't think of a topic when you actually talk to someone in person? Like your mind goes blank? ð¥¹ð¥¹
@WanderingSoul1111 That can happen, you could create a cheat sheet on your hand or on a bit of paper, you could practice talking in the mirror or with pets or family.
Take a deep breath, smile, it will eventually come naturally, hopefully :)
Thank you for the advice, I'll try it some time âºï¸ probably very slowly. At least baby steps are still steps right? ð¥¹
I really appreciate you for talking to me :D I don't know why the emoji's I use for some responses turn into some weird codes 😅
@WanderingSoul1111 maybe it's an android or apple thing? No worries, you're actually helping to distract me from an anxious event, so thank you too.
Of course take it slow and practice makes perfect :)
I hope you're doing ok, I'm sorry you're dealing with something anxious. Feel free to keep talking to me if you like, being alone when something anxious is occurring is not something fun ð¥¹
@WanderingSoul1111 That's really kind of you, I appreciate it but it's passed now and I'll write out my feelings and be done with it and munchies help ha :)
@WanderingSoul1111 I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I feel as if I have no words. I feel like I can't relate to people on the same level as others and that also makes talking to others a difficult task. I can joke with my coworkers but I avoid serious talk. The only person I have is my fiance. I don't have a family or friends because I got to a point where I was tired of people hurting me. Now I kind of simply exist. I love my fiance with everything in my but I still feel alone. She is perfect, I guess it's more so that I am grieving the family I thought I had growing up. Everything is a long story.
I get it, that happened to me during the pandemic actually. I cut a lot of people off cause the world can be a dark place and people you think you can trust can't be trusted, and sadly for most like us it's family 😔 at least you have your fiancé and that's still a BIG win! Feeling alone even in a relationship, it's no one's fault, we all have battles we go through and deep scars we're all still trying to heal from. What matters is we all have someone by our side ☺️
@WanderingSoul1111 Thank you :) I am very thankful that I have her in my life. She doesn't know a lot of what I have gone through and what is bothering me. I don't know how to tell her because I know she wouldn't understand. It's not her fault, I have poor communication. I am always scared of saying the wrong thing or saying too much. The world is a very dark and scary place, especially when you know what people are capable of.
I understand your fears, I go through that a lot with the people I choose and the people I value, but at some point you'll need to talk to her about what you've been through, that's how you'll see if she'll take you for who you are, for everything. When you marry, you don't just choose a partner, you choose a parent to your future child or children, someone who will be with you when you have to face future hardships, pain and grief. And it's in the past. I hope you find the strength to open up about what's on your mind and in your heart. It's scary, but if she really is for you whatever happens she will love and accept you. If it helps you can practice what you'll say, ask a friend or a listener to hear you or check it so you can be more at ease. If anything, I believe in you ☺️☺️☺️ you can do it!
@WanderingSoul1111 thank you, I appreciate your kind words. I'm in a tough spot with my healing journey where I feel lost. I'm kind of in a robotic state while my brain is in my past. It's difficult to explain.
@Tayy2295 💗
Hey Tay 。:゚(;´∩`;)゚:。
😭 *Warm hugs*
* wipe tears* 🤧 I'm so sorry to hear that you been through a lot 😔 You’re not bad at connecting. You’re protecting yourself.
When people hurt you enough times, your heart learns to stay on the surface.
Loving your fiancée and still feeling alone doesn’t make you ungrateful. One person can’t replace the family you thought you had. You’re grieving something real... the safety and belonging you deserved growing up. 💗
And that feeling of Just existing? That’s emotional exhaustion, not emptiness. 🤧
But here’s the beautiful part:
you still love.
You still care.
You still want connection.
That means your heart didn’t harden 😊 it just got careful. ❤️
You’re not broken. You’re healing. <3
And healing can feel lonely before it feels warm. 🤍
Hope things will soon ease u to u 💓 you're not alone, we are here for u... walking besides you 😊❤️. we love u, care for u 💗
Hug you closer to my soul 🤗💗
@Ailuraphilelove8tear9 Thank you for your kind words 💙 The healing journey almost feels impossible and very lonely. I do care about people but not as I once did. I find it hard to connect with others. My therapist wants to work on self-love but even that feels impossible. I hope you the best on your healing journey 😊
@WanderingSoul1111
Aww <3 i can relate this xD 😅. but I've been doing good afternoon joining cups TBH 😊. i think you don't have to push urself to talk... i guess.
when I'm here first.. i felt anxious to socialize or to comment back 😭 but let it be behind n started slowly..!! eventually now it's easy for me communicate. yet, i do feel the same as u do in occasion 😭🤧.
You don't have to push urself, sweetie...!! just let it be, you'll get there... one day at a moment 😊.
Sending lots of love and good vibes 💕

@WanderingSoul1111
🤗💗
I always have to control what I'm going to say, for example when I have to go to the pharmacy, when I have to say hi to pll, even If I know them or they are just people who works at x place... Idk how is this symptom called. I don't know if it has to do with anxiety. I always been like this. Anticipating to the scenario and have this conversation in my mind. When I say something unexpected I laugh at myself find it funny and I giggle bc I get embarrassed. I find that funny about me 🙈
@WanderingSoul1111
I think one shoukd take the courage to bring up something. If you feel like it, for sure.
Like starting with something of circumstances or finding half an excuse to start talking, such as an opinion or showing genuine curiosity and then saying back something about you
@WanderingSoul1111. I wish I was this way when it comes to messaging lol. Weirdly enough I'm like you outside of technology, I never know what to ask to make conversation or if I do think of something I get too nervous to ask cause I think I'll get a weird look or ignored
@WanderingSoul1111
Been there, myself. Oh god that heart racing feeling I still remember 😅
But it's okay everything has both pros and cons.
And with practice everything can be attained, just hang in there.
Observe others and move ahead ✨️
I hope that helps
