I have good news
Hi, everyone,
I had to share my good news. Today I was offered a job with a law firm as a runner. It is low paying, but the people are lovely and I was impressed by their firm. I was scheduled to start tomorrow.
Tonight about 9:30pm I checked my emails and saw that I was contacted by the Univ about my dream job on campus. They wanted to know if I am still interested. We have tentatively scheduled an interview at two possible times next Tuesday.
I am in God's hands. Please pray for me no matter who or what your God may be.
As to the law firm job, I called them tonight and explained as gently and respectfully as possible about the U of A interview and thought it most constructive if we do not waste their time hiring and training me only to have me quit early next week. I told them that I thought they were love people and was impressed by their firm. I further explained that the U of A email was not offering me the job, so if I am not offered the U of A job and if they are still interested in giving me another chance, that I would like to reapply to them for the runner job.
My head is reeling. I am getting on my news tonight and thanking God.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share the tentative good news. I thought the interview went ok, not great. But today they contacted me and said they want to move forward. They asked for my permission to initiate the background check. Of course I said yes.
They didn't offer me the job. They just want to begin the background check. So I am still waiting.
I do have a little bit more of good news. They are hiring 3 people to fill these positions for each of the 3 locations. That raises my chances. :)

The prospect of interviewing for and background check about your own dream job sounds thoroughly exciting and "freaked out!" at the same time! We will pray for you to have a calm mind and rational thoughts about whatever their response may be and what the next steps are for you. The second job interview was yesterday. i didnt think it was great but they are doing my background check. thats a good sign.

You gave me a big smile. Thank you. Yes, I have plenty of persistence. I don't have a good outlook. That ebbs and flows. My outlook has sunk. I am trying desperately to get through these first three weeks. One of my classes is ridiculous with all the work and websites the professor has piled on. My other class is easy, thank God. My new boss seems wonderful. I start next Monday. I know that I'll be out of my mind with nervousness. But like a friend reminded me yesterday, one day at a time. That is all I can do.
Chloe is adjusting. She isn't used to me talking on my laptop for hours and not playing with her.
