Intermission
First of all thank you to everyone I have interacted with on Cups through forums, groups and other activities, the welcome and support has been incredible.
I was lonely and Cups has helped ease that a little but it has meant due to emotional control issues I find myself craving ever more interaction and spending too much time coming to Cups trying to satisfy that need.
The better weather during Spring and summer means it is far harder for me to minimise my risk of thrombosis so i have to be far more mindful of keeping hydrated, my blood flowing and not sitting still for extended periods increasing the risk.
For both reasons I'm deliberately going to restrict my activity on Cups, it's not going to be easy as I have truly apprecaited the genuine warmth friendship and support. I'm not going anywhere but will keep up with group check ins where I can, group chats on nights off and direct messages/pen pals but will just be quieter in general. It's craving the interaction that is mainly driving my intention, it's a little like putting a plaster on a cut (ironically its thrombosis that heals cuts), I'm going to look for a therapist on my next rotation of nights off to hopefully manage my
emotions better in the longer term reducing the cuts in the first place.
At least it will also cut down my excuses not to increase my efforts of being more mindful too.
@RunningMachine
My pm's are always open to send a hello to and let me know how you are doing. I usually am not taking chats with members but right now you are allowed for a different reason. I will answer back as soon as I can. I try not to stay on here due to my business and private life, but I do come on to do my roles for 7 cups and make posts for 2 communities.
@RunningMachine
I have always been impressed by your spirit and I find you to be an overall extremely interesting and lovely person, and you've made a very positive impact here. I am glad you're taking care of yourself. Know we will always be here for you <3

@sadcat13
Lol trust the frozen Salmon to get a mention, on a work break now ...
Just cutting back on time, to get my fitness back on track .
@RunningMachine go for it 😊 I should get moving too, I haven't been to the gym for so long I don't even know how it looks anymore 😭
@sadcat13
My profile pic might jolt your memory 😄
@RunningMachine I'm the type of person who will use the treadmill just to walk on it with like 5.3 speed and a blank stare 😂 i don't even run to catch the bus 😢
@sadcat13
Pump the iron instead then 😄

My hours up 😥
@RunningMachine well. Can't do that either because of my spine heh. I'm mostly stuck with basic own weight exercises where there is a smaller risk of me injuring myself I got from my trainer with basically a more of a rehab/pain management focus. When I use machines it is just very little, like assisted pull up, or warm up treadmill walk/ bit of the staircase machine for my lower back but besides that its mostly gentler equipment like flow in, TRX, or stuff like terrabands.
@sadcat13
When my AS was at it worst I used to find hydrotherapy a couple of times a week helped, have you tried it ?
@RunningMachine oh what's that? I tried redcord with physiotherapist, massage, and even tried to swim for a while but no matter of 4 years of swimming training, every time I get in the water the lifeguard is trying hard to determine if I'm drowning or just trying to swim so don't tend to do it a lot
@sadcat13
Physiotherapy in a swimming pool, might be worth making enquiries, the buoyancy of ten water helps with supporting weigh.
@RunningMachine ah, fair enough. I don´t think i need it, at least am not bad enough to take someone´s place in rehab who needs it more then i do. But will definitely keep it in my options if my condition worsens 🌻
Sometimes being quieter is healing. I know that from experience. I’m glad you’re focusing on taking care of yourself, and we’ll still be here for you when you come back <3 *hugs* <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
Still here, just trying to manage wanting to chat too much !! and lift fitness a little.
Maybe give yourself time periods where you can go on 7Cups? The rest is self care time <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
That's the intention, are you a mind reader ?
Thank you Kiara, your friendship means a lot.
I know all. ;)
Awww thank you <3
@RunningMachine I admire your honesty, I also struggle with maintaining time limits. Please take all the time that you need for yourself ❤️We're all here for you 💖 Sending you loads of love and *Bigg hugs* 🐾💕
@fossilfellow
Thank you, coffee before work...
Had a calmer afternoon.
@RunningMachine
I’m glad to hear that you are trying to manage your time here. You are well aware of your priorities. I know how it feels to be craving for responses and always just wanting to chat. Its like you always have something to say and would want always someone to listen. Its our emotional connection that makes us feel relieved and probably thrilled at times.
Please take care of your health. No matter how quieter you become, you will always be remembered. Your words, thoughts, support and gestures are amazing for one not to notice, let alone forget.
All the best my friend. I’m here whenever you wish to talk and get it out of your heart. I’m a good listener too and would love to help🥰
@LadyInSilence
I hope you're good, I was talking with the therapist yesterday about how regular two way communication triggers endorphins, especially serotonin and how it eases albeit temporarily the ADHD thirst for dopamine, empathy simply amplifies both effects.
@RunningMachine
I’m liking your therapist :)
