My new puppy
I am so excited to announce that a brand new 8 week old Sheepadoodle puppy just joined my pack of 5 standard poodles and a goldendoodle. Her name is Brooklyn and she is an F1 standard sheepadoodle! I literally just picked her up! Pardon me if I bombard the community with pics of this bundle of cuteness!

Awww what a cute puppy you have! Training a service dog is a lot of work but so worth it. This puppy is going to be my second service dog to train myself.

She is so cute! Congratulations! That’s amazing news for you 💛
@Kristynsmama - Hello dear Kristy! The photo of all 7 may have been an epic fail today, but you'll get it in the not too distant future :) I'm sure.
Congratulations on the sweet, beautiful addition to your family! :) Happy adoption day, dear Brooklyn!
Sending love, and many puppy snuggles! - Platy and her SST <3 <3 <3!
- Also, I love how excited and proud of her you are... already! :) That is contagious, you know! Your other canines will help you with training. 8 weeks old! so small! <3
@Kristynsmama awww she's one cute pup ❤❤ you got a new addition to your family ❤❤❤ congratulations for becoming a mum to another pup ❤❤
As if I really needed #7. Lol. But she is a sweetheart and is going to be trained as a guide dog since I am losing my vision. My current service dog, one of the poodles, just turned 11 and he’s half way to retiring as my service dog. I wanted him to still have some skills and good behavior for my puppy to learn from. I probably should have gotten the puppy a year ago.
@Kristynsmama awww bless you. I'm sure your pup will be a great service dog for you ❤❤ gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤ good luck with everything sweetie, remember we are all here for you ❤

Hi, Kristy!
How beautiful and adorable your new Sheepadoodle Brooklyn!
F1 means one parent is a Poodle, and the other is a Sheepdog, right?
I imagine the combined character traits of these two breeds would make for the perfect companion dog!
She seems to be already very robust, with strong legs and a muscular body. Poodles look more fragile at that age.
I like her face, all white and framed by black ear flaps. Very photogenic!
She will love your home, I imagine, with your pack of nice, sociable, friendly poodles to befriend her. A big lovely family!
I am happy that you are surrounded with so much canine love and cuteness!
Must be a heartwarming experience!
Much love to you and all the best to Brooklyn!
Stay in touch!
Marcelo.

Yes, you are correct. Brooklyn is an F1 sheepadoodle meaning one parent is a poodle and 1 is an old English sheepdog. In Brooklyn’s case her mom is the poodle and dad is the sheepdog. And the poodle is a standard poodle so she will be a larger sheepadoodle not a mini.
@Kristynsmama
Ahh, I understand, Thank you!
She seems to be very healthy and energetic, already growing on her way to get big
Also very alert, with the attitude of an aware, intelligent dog.
A great dog, for sure.
Congratulations!
Thanks! I already love her. But she is a bundle of trouble!
@Kristynsmama
Too energetic?
She will learn to behave eventually.
Both breeds are very intelligent and obedient.
Yes. And too inquisitive. She’s into everything. But that’s normal for a young pup. We’ve already learned sit, look, and touch in less than 24 hours. I have always trained my own dogs so it’s just a matter of time before she learns all the rules of the pack. Last night she tried to climb my curtains. Lol. 🙈
@HealingTalk
it depends on the dog. Some of my dogs have done well with the clicker and one of them is terrified of the clicker. I’m trying without the clicker for Brooklyn because since she’s going to be a service dog, I don’t want to depend on having a clicker with me everywhere I go. I prefer her to respond to voice commands. So far she is doing really well.
I have trained all of my dogs myself so I’m pretty saavy.
