Self loathing
Suffering from extreme self loathing... Not able to stand my self. Not able to tolerate this life. Feeling like I hate my whole Being and not able to tolerate my self.
@wittyEast6451 I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Please know that you're not alone in this. I have similar feelings. Sending lots of love to you ❤️❤️
Thank you for being here and commenting @fossilfellow ❤️

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I really like your pic!! :)
I’m really proud of you for sharing this—it takes so much courage to put those feelings into words. I want you to know you’re not alone. I struggled with self-loathing for most of my childhood, and only in my early 20s did I start to slowly come out of it.
What helped me was making small changes, little by little. It wasn’t easy, but I learned that these feelings aren’t permanent—they shift with time, effort, and kindness toward yourself. Even things like journaling my thoughts, practicing gratitude, or paying closer attention to small moments of joy made a big difference.
You don’t need to fix everything at once. Just noticing your feelings and giving yourself a little grace each day is already a big step. Over time, you’ll discover the version of yourself that feels more at peace.
Please hang in there—you’re stronger than you think, and there really are brighter days ahead. 💙
Hey @bestSugar5181...thanks so much for sharing this... M working on my self too...! I hope to get better...... Thanks again. 🤗
This response is epic
I can somewhat relate on that feeling.
Hey @catgirl278 i hope things get better for u soon 🤗
Thank you
What helped was staying away from abusive parents and criticism since I heard their voice in my head and it made things a million times worse. Couldn’t go for them for help anyways, right?
Essentially being away from the main source of trauma which attacked what little self esteem I had helped. Some parents are not meant to have children… too selfish, all about them… Apparently this can make you self loathing even if you are actually doing well! It makes you not believe it since your parents are so hardwired in there.
I was told to make a list of things that I can look on and be proud of no matter what someone else says. Finding supportive people helped, even if you don’t tell them all the stuff IRL, just feeling like you’re wanted and you matter does help. Mostly it was about getting away from the abuse so the depression and self helplessness at times from it really helped. Normal people with supportive parents or with good support circles in larger cities and towns do not understand this.

I relate to this so much. I tried to adopt a dog from a shelter to help out with my self loathing. Make myself feel like I was actually good or worthy of love or useful. Sadly the shelter gave me a dog that hadn't seen a vet at all and she was sick and we had to euthanize her. I feel worse now. I'm so sad about her life, and how it ended. I loved her even if it was only a few hours.
@Wiltingrose13 I'm so sorry to hear that 🙁 Please know that the love you gave her, even in those few hours, truly means a lot. Sending you lots of love ❤️❤️
@wittyEast6451 One must not be judgmental, be it for yourself or for others. Accept people the way they are and respect them.
@wittyEast6451 imagine you as your friend, would you say that to a friend. or feel like that to a friend? after all, life maybe horrible, but living itself is a great gift. imagine somethin happening one day, everything happens andn you exist no more...you cant see or feel anything, or even read or see this message again. try sitting in a silent space. no distractions. for some time. talk to your inner self. you wont feel bad.
And as an additional thing, I recommend you to listen to Ephiphany (it would be better if you can see the lyrics translation in google, it is meaningful.) and Not Today by bts. They helped me out.
Remember, you are not alone. I suffered stuff and feelings similar to you once. Even now, I live in loneliness or pain with no one to share my heart to. let's survive and face the hard times together, for a beautiful future.
