What is giving you MOST pain?

User Profile: Creamyyy
Creamyyy May 19th, 2025

What aspect of your life or your surroundings ia giving you most pain?

I think everyone has one issue that is more painful than another and over time things change as well and something else becomes more painful. There are health issues, relationship issues, family issues, loss of loved ones, faith crises, work failures, the list can go on.

For me - seeing the suffering of little children whether those in war zones or poverty regions or those facing trapped in abusive places gives me most pain. Children are innocent and beautiful and they deserve all the gentle nurturing so that they can blossom and grow and take reins of the world .... their future is in the hands of adults because we are their guardians.

My deepest deepest wish is to play some role in helping the children of this world.

I'd like to hear your stories too - of what is troubling you the most and why. Please feel free to share .

The loss of my grandpa is giving me the most pain. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him and anything reminds me of him. From a sticker of a fish to deers, to elderly in plaid long sleeves to birds with orange chest. I grew up with my grandparents and for my mother as a single parent had to work often and go to school for a better life for my childhood, so I spent most of my time with my grandparents. I grew more alike with my grandpa I shared his interest of plants and working smart not hard. I felt like the only one that was proud of me and happy to see me was my grandpa. Especially when I had moved to Davis to go to college. He’s always been there for me. Showed up to every student of the month and every ceremony and award ceremony. It hurt me to know he wasn’t there to see me graduate from college on stage. He passed the same year 2021 in September and I graduated December 2021. It was so hard to graduate without him. And now with him being gone, no one cares about me. My mom favors my brother my grandma favors the grandkids that did nothing for her and that’s it. I miss being able to call him just to hear his voice. The thing is in his last year my uncle grew with greed and my grandma kicked us out from living with her since she favored her son. This being said during this time my grandpa had cancer and we would drive an hour to him just to take him to his appointments and spend time with him. My uncle made that difficult with not wanting us to see him. At the time my mom suffered from extreme anxiety and was really able to be okay to face my uncle and at the time I couldn’t drive. It was to a point our phone conversations with my grandpa had to be put on speaker so my paranoid uncle could listen to everything, I didn’t care I have nothing to hide all I wanted to know was how he was doing and how his plants were doing (since he always talked about his plants) . Then it came to a day were my uncle changed all his ointment and authorized reps we couldn’t take him to the doctor anymore. And for some petty reason my uncle thought it was a good idea to put my grandpa through chemo when the doctor said it wasn’t a good idea since he was 92 but he did it to prove a point I’ll always believe. Not short after my grandfather had a heart attack on my grandmother birthday. And I carry it all with me everyday. I’m hurt by what happened but nothing hurts me more than losing him. I literally feel the color left my world and this is all that’s left.

@considerateOrange13 I'm sorry for everything that happened to your grandpa and everything youre going through since then. I can tell from your words how beautiful and touching your love is for your grandpa. May he rest in peace. People pass away but they continue to live on in our hearts always. He may be gone but his legacy remains - in you! I pray you heal and find the strength to go on. When my aunt passed away i felt a similar loss - she gave me so much love, it continues to give me motivation in my life to go on and do something useful with my life so her hard work in raising me isn't wasted. Meanwhile i write and talk about her- it creates positivity and love around me. Celebrate your grandpa too. Write about him like you wrote this lovely post. ❤️

Never being able to find the middle. I am either very depressed, extremely happy, or totally hollow. I feel much more stable now but in a way I feel utterly broken.

@cyanessence I'm not sure what your situation is like but is it possible this happiness and sadness alternation is characteristic of the overall depression that may not be possible to conquer by yourself without medical treatment ? Have you examined the thoughts that cause extreme sadness and extreme happiness? There may be work to do on them to identify the rational over all the mental chaos we experience... im just guessing. I really feel though that with your strength and support of everyone you're only a little mile away from stability ❤️

@Creamyyy

I probably wasn't exactly clear on my experience of these emotions. Sorry for that, still adapting.

I was very depressed I swear from birth. There were moments of what felt like happiness but they were just the absence of anything.

It's only as of about 6 or 7 weeks ago that my depression shifted into pretty intense happiness. It's been somewhat stable since then, except there's still emotional dysregulation in that sometimes I feel nothing at all.

So it hasn't been a consistent oscillation between states. There is some consistency to it, in that I had a long period of depression followed by what seems to be a lasting happiness. Both states are marked by feelings of emptiness though.

Today, I felt somewhat in harmony with myself. Like instead of being overly positive, I was only erring on the side of it. Which is the kind of balance and calm I want to achieve, because I tire of intensity.

I'm tracking my mood and journalling with utmost honesty in the hopes a therapist will offer some more insight.

You've allowed me to reflect and realise the nature of the situation. I'm afraid this happiness I feel is only episodic and will fade into depression again. But I have hope.

@BlankMind000 those are tough ones always :( we all need support especially from our families but it doesn't always happen. One has to lower their expectations and continue to find support from outside our homes - the world is also one big family .. may you find the support you're looking for and a happy home and resources of course - our survival depends on it ... I know how agonising it is to be drowned in a struggle for sustenance.

@Creamyyy Oh yeah
They just are like "I had it worse, so don't complain" or blame the laptop or whatever when in reality the cause is them themselves. TW: Like yea, I know you two lived thru an armed conflict, but bad mental health is bad mental health no matter what.

More TW: My own brother has threatened to do, well, bad stuff to me, and guess what? In front of them! They didn't care! So yeah.

My own mother has said she wished she didn't have male kids etc etc etc.

It's just, yeah.

@BlankMind000 My mom has been not so good healthwise recently, but I can't help but don't care at all about her, she needs to get a taste of her own medicine.

@BlankMind000 it's hard to forgive others or try and make peace with them, when you're feeling wronged and haven't found closure with your own wounds.

So much stuff....i injured my leg, my job is staying on foot and walking all day. I get even more tired than before. I don't feel like I am giving my best. I have so much studies pending as well and I am a slow learner.

My mom is not doing well healthwise.

My bestfriend of 5 years turned her back on me and started spreading hateful rumors about me.

Everything has gotten so overwhelming. I feel so sad all the time. Maybe my problems are not as big as others, but it's so hard to cope up with everything.

@limegreenHuma9402 that sounds like a lot happening all at once. With your leg injury things must have gotten so hard.

Don't worry about learning slowly.. we all grow at our own pace... as long as you're understanding the concepts and there is growth , you'll move ahead.

Prayers for your mom. I'm glad she has a child who cares for her ❤️

About the betrayal from your friend- well it was wrong what they did and maybe they ll change maybe they won't. . Regardless it's a sign for you to find better and honest friends.... remember we all go through this... there are people who do us damage and there are people who give you support.

You're brave and clean at heart and you will figure your way out - sending supporting energy your way ❤️

Social awkwardness has brought me the greatest pain ever since I was a kid, and I've given up on any hopes of becoming "cured" somehow. Being painfully uncomfortable around people (and I mean absolutely anyone) is a lifelong condition for me. It's a reality I've had to just accept.

@Creamyyy There are many pains that affect all of us and thank you for sharing what causes you so much pain. I happen to have 24/7 pain in my lower lip and teeth that developed after a dentist elected to pick a larger sized implant during an implant surgery and drilling excessively without my consent into my jaw into the inferior alveolar nerve. This happened almost 6 months ago. Initially I was only numb on the outside of my lip and chin but then after a month passed the numbness reduced slightly and pain settled in…forever. There are burning, searing pins and needles in my lip and sometimes chin, as well as a tight binder clip sensation 24/7 in my lower teeth. He took 10 days to accept that the implant procedure did this before he finally removed the implant and claimed it will go away in 6-8 weeks. However after seeing some specialists, I am told I will most likely have to live with this for the rest of my life. The pain is often severe enough I cannot sleep or eat on that side of my mouth and cannot eat many solid or crunchy foods or even brush teeth on that side it is so painful. I have been tried on 4 meds already and am awaiting test results to see if some other medications could be tried…So for me the most significant pain is this that I am forced to experience in all waking moments 24 hours a day. Every day. I hope no one else has to experience what I went through and feel now.

@pinkGlobe3958 I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. It's unfortunate that medical negligence has caused this.. it must feel so unfair. I admire your strength and patience in facing this ordeal.

I pray there are ways out from this and your pain subsides. ❤️

@Eman144 it's so sad how people don't consider other people's feelings and misbehave ...they have a long way to grow... while others who are more kind and considerate like yourself have to suffer silently... I hope you find people who treat you with the respect you deserve... until then hook on to your quiet strength ❤️

@Bhadra0707 I'm sorry youre feeling this way. But honestly there is no need for shame.... your achievements or failures are for your ownself not to show to others.... I'm sure you're grateful and I also understand you're ambitious ... but you have to treat yourself with compassion. Reward yourself for your efforts and make better strategies to achieve higher as per your desires. Life isn't just about academic/ professional growth but also personal growth. This is your opportunity to show strength of your character and not just your academic aptitude. Stay strong, satisfied, smiling - you can do this. 🙂
