When you choose to heal and want too
This community has been with me thru an abusive and toxic relationship and I’m now away from that and actively healing! I got on medication and in therapy and I’m actually trying and wanting to better myself for a better foundation and not rely on someone else to make me feel ok. I’m surprised in myself. I’m actively journaling everyday, I’m doing my affirmations to give my self validation that I am enough and etc. the next steps it’s sticking to a routine and trying to go outside more. I’ve been back home for a month but I was depressed the first month in February but I feel ok right now. My moods are a bit easier to handle and with more clarity. I’m still working on that I can strive alone and stick to a job but for now gonna try some stability in a routine and maybe volunteer somewhere because I get anxiety around people so I like need to the socialize in baby steps! I haven’t felt optimistic and excited for what’s next to come for me!
@Priscella
Great choice of words for healing "want to" and "choose to"~ reflects a very strong mindset and resilient spirit you carry and I'm super proud of how far you've come!
Incredibly important to take time reflecting on your progress and patting your back for your victories along the journey. Baby steps are more than fine, they are still steps and taking steps make us reach somewhere from where we once were.
Rooting for youuu! 💛
I'm so happy for you. And I hope you continue to progress. I've had a positive experience with this community as well and found support during the very low days. Please continue to share with us.
Thank you ! Me too. I just have keep telling myself I need to heal for myself and if my ex doesn’t understand that I can’t let that affect MY growth and healing. He thinks love fixes everything and doesn’t believe in me taking this time to have a stable foundation within myself. I will continue to share ! Thank you for the kind words !
Hey @Priscella
More power to you for taking the very first step of coming out of the toxic relationship. Trust me it takes guts, it may sound very easy from outside but it is not. I am so proud of you that not only you stepped out but you're on your healing journey.
Your resilience to become self dependent will make you go a long way. You're an inspiration, truly ❤️
Life is a journey, everyday won't be the same and it is okay to feel depressed but how you're managing to overcome it by taking baby steps.
I also get very anxious around people and i don't like socializing, so maybe try to be around known people and expand with their existing circle which will help you to ease up.
Take care 🤗
@Priscella Hey Priscella. That's great! It's amazing to hear that your mental health is improving and you are starting to heal. You can get through anything! It's important to celebrate wins, such as these! Keep going Priscilla, everything will be okay.
@Priscella
I wrote a journal entry earlier today about hope. There's definitely hope in all things good, and your making good progress. This also fills me with the energy to improve. I was having a tough time a while back and I'm just getting through it.
Thank you Priscella!
