guys :l is it selfish if i just poof *disappear* from the internet to prioritize my peace? but not sure for how long
how do i stop myself from feeling bad about this? i always, "maybe one day, i need more days, one day i will come back". still not ready /_\ i asked gpt about this too
@hopefulencounter no it's not selfish. You need to respect your peace and wellbeing. If that means taking a break from the internet, do it. If you want, you can let your online friends know that "hey, I will be taking some time offline to focus on my mental health, I don't know how long will it be, just letting you know so you aren't worried" and done, go offline to rest ❤️
This. Perfectly said <3
@sadcat13 thank you, your advice is so nice! and yes I already told them that about how I wasn't feeling well that day when I last logged in, I hope they understand that I need more time than I expected
@hopefulencounter I don't think it's selfish at all. Sometimes we need to take that break. You need to do what feels best for you. Sometimes socializing can really be draining, even if it's online.
You can always tell people you're taking some time away from it, real friends will understand and support your decision 💜
@hopefulencounter totally up to you!
@trueconfidant123 thank you :") I was such a people pleaser but lately I'm trying to understand myself better
@hopefulencounter
No, you do what you need to do to feel more like you.
You'll be missed but we will be waiting with open arms to welcome you back.
It's best to deal with our well being and mental health before it leaves us feeling worse, you are what matters 🩵🤗

@Amanda84 thank you ;'') you're so kind and patient!🌻
@hopefulencounter I personally do that all the time.. don’t forget it’s your life, and your mental health! Don’t neglect it, you’re the only person who sees/knows everything that’s going on. If you feel that makes you feel better, continue.. doesn’t have to be forever..
Its the internet.... its an object.....take another plane object (like a book or something) , put it on the other side of ur door, and then close that door. ....
Wait 5 mins
Open the door..
I bet u, that book is still there, unchanged and uncaring to what u did. That is essentially the internet.. an object wont care, so, dont care about feeling bad for not using an object ^.^

No, it isn't selfish. You don't owe the internet, or anyone on it, anything.
In fact, even without a lot of info as to why you might be doing this, or what you'd be leaving behind, I'd still argue it's almost certainly the healthy decision.
The Internet isn't going anywhere. Go do what you need to do and take care of yourself.
