how do i stop myself from feeling anxious all the time?
i've tried journaling, meditation, but at the end of the day i'm still the anxious me. told people around me about this,that i have anxiety. and they said "only you can fix it"
i don't know how to fix it, it's not fun being anxious. i wish i didn't have anxiety. it affects me badly, i can't even do my hobby :(
@hopefulencounter
Regular exercise and cutting down on caffeine helps..🌲
@AsherTree
thank you for your suggestions. I did kettlebell workouts last week, I'll do it again when I can :')
Hey,
I can understand your situation i used to feel the same I was anxious and stressed 24/7
I kept myself busy and did small simple achievable tasks which kept me away from anxiety for a bit.
You mentioned you are not able to do your hobby in this case usually I do 5 minutes of being present meditation which helped me to focus on my tasks and when I get distracted i repeat.
Practising anxiety release,stress release healing yin was very helpful for me you can try it as well
Journaling and meditation only works if do it consistently atleast that's what I have experienced.
Take care , have a gooo day (•‿•)
@justpari9
hello, thank you for your understanding
I did try to distract myself from anxiety too sometimes, but then that cold feeling is back again. and without realizing, I already bit my lip because anxious ;-;
I really should try meditation again tonight, thank you for sharing some advices on how to deal with anxiety with me. ð§¡
Hey 👋🏻
So I've been dealing with anxiety too for about an year
Whenever i feel anxious I tend to call my friends or siblings
Also I record myself venting out whatever is my mind
Meditation also help a lil bit
Doodling or writing songs is also a way I try and it works good for me
Also try to reduce your mobile usage it's the best worked for me so far
And for medicine im taking homeopathic medicine but it's not practiced all over world so I'm not sure if it's there where you live but it's really good it's helped me a lot and it doesn't have much side effects
That's all I guess
Most important is venting out whatever is in your mind and using phone less that's the best worked out for me
I hope it does for you too
@raspberrySea9290
hii 👋
thank you for sharing with me, i first realized that i have bad anxiety when i was still in college (4 years ago).it's mostly social anxiety, i told my parents about this but they saw me as overreacting. my siblings agreed with my parents :'c
my sister said that she's actually stressed as well.. that recording idea is a good one, i'll give it a try. i used to love drawing but ever since my sister told me "you draw too much, you should do something else" .. i feel like drawing is a waste of time
that sounds like a good medicine, thank you for telling me a lot of advices, i'll see what i can do :')
@hopefulencounter Managing anxiety is genuinely hard. And I think the very question "how do I STOP feeling this way" might be part of why it keeps coming back..
There's this thing called the pink elephant experiment. When someone says don't imagine a pink elephant, your mind immediately pictures one. It's the same with anxiety. The moment we tell ourselves to stop feeling it, our brain keeps checking "am I still feeling it?" (yeah, the irony here .-.) and in doing so, keeps bringing it back.
Since you've already tried journaling and meditation.. maybe give self-talk a shot. Don't know if you've already tried it though. But yeah, when anxiety hits, instead of fighting it.. talk to it. Acknowledge your mind, even thank it for trying to protect you (I know sounds absurd, but it works, at times :D) based on its own reasoning that's unknown to us, and may not even make sense sometimes.
It wouldn't vanish overnight. But meeting it with gentleness, kindness, instead of resistance.. can slowly start to shift things, and make it a little more manageable, I believe.
Sharing a video that I found quite insightful. Give it a watch only if you feel like it ✨
@MeilleureAmie
hi, thank you for your advice
so i have to accept it and treat it with kindness, i will try to do that. and for the video, i will watch it tomorrow. thank you <3
@MeilleureAmie
hi, so I watched that video and it's truly inspiring for me. so the key is to not be afraid of anxiety, don't feed it then it will be better for me
that video is so relatable for me, i ever dreamt of falling off the curb, i sometimes have intrusive thoughts and i also overthink a lot :')
@hopefulencounter So glad it resonated with you.. and yeah that's the thing, the less we fight it, the less power it has over us.
And honestly, intrusive thoughts and overthinking are so much more common than people realize.. you're definitely not alone in that, trust me .-.
I read somewhere that intrusive thoughts are just our mind running through "what could go wrong" scenarios, not actual reflections of who we are or what we want (as we do see them this way most of the time, and end up criticizing or hating ourselves for it)
That reframe helped me a lot. So try not to judge yourself for having them, that judgment is often what makes them stick around longer. Come to think of it.. acceptance really is the first step for anything.. things get easier from there 🤍
@MeilleureAmie
I'm always an overthinker, but I feel I'm getting worse because I can feel lots of intrusive thoughts, even at night before I go to sleep, that I have to blink my eyes or shake my head to make them go away ;;-;;
I'll try my best to stop resisting anxiety, i hope that way it will be better for me <3 thank you so much

Your journey isn't about eliminating anxiety — it's about understanding it deeply enough that it no longer gets to be in charge of your life. Moving from invalidation and self-blame toward self-compassion and nervous system literacy will gradually rebuild your sense of agency. Over time, the goal is not a version of you without anxiety, but a version of you who can still pick up their hobby, even on hard days.
@hopefulencounter
Dear Beloved,
Anxiety is not always something that can be fixed instantly. Many people learn to manage it gradually rather than eliminate it. The fact that journaling and meditation have not removed your anxiety does not mean you have failed.
Try to identify specific situations, thoughts, or triggers that make it worse. Understanding patterns can help you feel more in control of what you are experiencing. If anxiety is affecting your daily life, hobbies, relationships, or work, consider speaking with a mental health professional. They can help you develop coping strategies tailored to your needs.
Do not wait until anxiety disappears before doing things you enjoy. Sometimes, continuing to engage in meaningful activities can help reduce anxiety's hold on your life. Focus on small, manageable activities. Progress often happens gradually. Stay connected to supportive people who understand what you are going through.
Healing is possible.
Hey. I understand how heavy and blown out you feel. You’re not strange or weak for feeling this way. Anxiety can be loud, but it’s not always telling the truth. It’s more like a false alarm system that’s gotten a bit too sensitive.
you don’t need to feel calm all the time to be okay. Even small moments of ease, one breath, one distraction, one kind thought, still count as progress.
You’re not alone in this, even if it feels like it.
❤️💪🤗
@Jaynguzo
sometimes i'm calm, other times i feel so anxious.. i agree, it does feel like a false alarm system. i worried a lot about it but sometimes it's actually not that scary/bad. thank you for comforting me, i love when i suddenly have a kind, optimistic thought ;;-;;
You will be fine. As much as you can, stay positive. You will surely pull through ❤️💪🤗
