Gratitude Jar! Instructions + Share your Jars!
Hi Everyone! I found a really cool exciting therapeutic exercise for everyone to do! The file itself is directed at people using it with children so I am going to translate it to work for someone using it for themselves but I will link the source at the end of this post.

Introduction
Gratitude Jars can be a fun, artistic, and hands-on way to practice gratitude. In this activity, you can create a special jar where you save gratitude statements at the end of the day! A fun activity for both Adults and Children.
Materials
A Clear Jar - It can be either glass or plastic for this exercise
Art Supplies - so like ribbons, stickers, magazine cutouts, really anything you have or want to use
Gratitude Slips - these can be blank strips of paper or slips with gratitude prompts
Instructions
Begin by personalizing your jar with decorations. Use ribbons, stickers, magazine cut-outs, items found in nature, or anything else that you want. After you decorate the jar, it is time to add the first three gratitude statements. A gratitude statement acknowledges something that a person appreciates or is thankful for. You can either print out the slips in the file that will be linked at the bottom of the post or write your own on blank sheets of paper.
Some examples (Credit to the therapy worksheet):
“I am grateful for my cat because she makes me laugh.”
“I am thankful for the dinner I had tonight. It was my favorite: pizza!”
“I appreciate my grandma because she visited me when I was sick.”
If you are doing this with someone, take time to talk about the slips with them. If not, internally reflect. (You can also talk about them here!) Then, fold the statements and add them to the jar.
Plan to write three gratitude statements and add them to the jar each day. Make this a part of your daily routine, including an inner reflection of your gratitudes. You can even discuss what you put in your jar here in this thread. This can be a great activity before bedtime.
Pages 2-4 have the Gratitude Slips that you can print out. Click Here
Additionally if unable to make a physical jar, save the image below and edit your gratitudes onto it and share in this thread

hey - i love this gratitude jar!
I actually do something like this every Novemeber!
My family and I have a gratitude jar on the dining room table and every day in November we write down what we were greatful for that day.
Then, on Thanksgiving day - we all take turns reading the slips of paper with the gratitude on it during Thanksgiving dinner!
But what i love espesially about this jar idea is it is not just novemeber, but all year !
I love this idea.

I appreciate having such a beautiful corner for this.
What do you think about making a Gratitude Jar?
I think it's a great idea! I have actually made a Happiness Box where I keep little things that make me happy. I have failed a lot of times to keep a gratitude journal but it's something that I will definitely want to make a habit out of.
If you made it, what statements are you adding to your jar?
-> I am thankful for my parents because even when I feel the world is against me, they are always by my side.
-> I am grateful to have amazing friends who understand me because they really accept me for who I am.
-> I am blessed that I am able to learn a lot of new things and have the opportunity to grow with each one of them.

What do you think about making a Gratitude Jar?
@HopieRemie 🧡 , definitely a great idea. I have always preferred handwritten notes over mobile notes. So, a physical gratitude jar with tiny chits in it is gonna be a great thing to actually implement.
I don't know. I am lagging on my gratitudes. But I will definitely try to make up for it and add some good ones. 😇
(And there will be one for shine for tagging me hehe)
