Okay! Step 210 (I think? Or is it 220? Im losing count 🤣).
Ive been continuing to reach out and connect with people all around the world here on 7 Cups. Its been great that were all supporting each other and getting along ... this is what its all about to me. 😊
This really warms me up during a very cold week in Chicago. 🥶
I just wanna thank all you who have been so kind and supportive to me! ☺️🤗
Where can I find all steps?

I can have and set boundaries and that really changes relationships!
there was a time where i thought i could never have them nor assert them bc no one would listen to or respect them.
But that is not true.
I have proven that to myself.
Because if my boundaries aer not respected - I do not tollertae it and yes, I can keep myself safe: emotionally and physicall.
Step 150 reached! Can
sleep hygine is actually something i need to work on.
here is is, 120 am, and im wide awake.
so - i am going to start taking a bath before bed, putting on a face mask and spraying my bed with sleepy chamomile scents.
and yeah, gotta get off my phone a few hours before bed too - because it just keeps me up and awake.
Tbh Im just mostly tired
50 steps and a bit more time used for something good.
@GlenM to realise that either way life goes on so basically acceptance
This is step 1350 for me! :) Is there a prize when I get to 1400? 1500?? or maybe 2500?! A new badge, perhaps?
I am working on learning a lot of things right now! In therapy, in relationships (especially with Mom and Dad), at church, etc.
Something #1 - Relationships are hard! Vulnerability is hard, but "vulnerability begets vulnerability." (Brene Brown) So if I decide to answer honestly that well yes I do have an eating disorder, perhaps (not guaranteed) the person who asked me will feel more open to tell me hard stuff of their own, too.
Something #2 - Self-care really is NOT selfish! I can say this and explain to others, but it is hard to listen to for myself. I want so much to help others, but if I am overly tired, or anxious, or trying to deal with my own stuff at that day/time ... then I will not listen as well as I'd like to.
Something #3 - I am also re-learning that new grief can bring up a lot of "old" grief. Rather like new/recent abuse or recent trauma can (and often does) bring up lots of memories of the "old" grief, abuse, trauma, etc. This is not good or bad; it just is, it is neutral.
Something #4 - Emotions alone are not good or bad - they just are. What we do with the emotion (in a fit of rage, in midst of an ugly cry, in a state of euphoria, etc), that is what is later labeled as good or bad. A good choice to stay home "in a fit of rage." A good choice to not punch your fist through the wall. A poor choice "in an ugly cry?" To throw the entire box of Kleenex into the filled bathtub.
For me, I know there is so much more to learn !!! In no particular order, how to do relationships better... how to actually feel my emotions and label them with words... how to self soothe, how to "take good care of you"...
I know some of each of these (of course?), but I am learning quickly that there seems to always be more to learn. Example? It's nearly midnight right now, time for bed?
